And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
| 1 Cuando Roboam había consolidado el reino, dejó la ley de Jehová, y todo Israel con él. | 1 Als aber das Königtum Rehabeams sich gefestigt hatte und er mächtig war, verließ er das Gesetz des HERRN und ganz Israel mit ihm. |

And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD,
| 2 Y por cuanto se habían rebelado contra Jehová, en el quinto ańo del rey Roboam subió Sisac rey de Egipto contra Jerusalén, | 2 Da zog im fünften Jahr des Königs Rehabeam herauf Schischak, der König von Ägypten, gegen Jerusalem - denn sie hatten sich am HERRN versündigt - |

With twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen: and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt; the Lubims, the Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
| 3 con mil doscientos carros, y con sesenta mil hombres de a caballo; mas el pueblo que venía con él de Egipto, esto es, de libios, suquienos y etíopes, no tenía número. | 3 mit tausendzweihundert Wagen und mit sechzigtausend Reitern; und das Volk war nicht zu zählen, das mit ihm aus Ägypten kam, Libyer, Sukkijiter und Kuschiter. |

And he took the fenced cities which pertained to Judah, and came to Jerusalem.
| 4 Y tomó las ciudades fortificadas de Judá, y llegó hasta Jerusalén. | 4 Und er nahm die festen Städte ein, die in Juda waren, und kam bis vor Jerusalem. |

Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
| 5 Entonces vino el profeta Semaías a Roboam y a los príncipes de Judá, que estaban reunidos en Jerusalén por causa de Sisac, y les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Vosotros me habéis dejado, y yo también os he dejado en manos de Sisac. | 5 Da kam der Prophet Schemaja zu Rehabeam und zu den Obersten Judas, die sich in Jerusalem aus Furcht vor Schischak versammelt hatten, und sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR: Ihr habt mich verlassen; darum habe ich euch auch verlassen und in Schischaks Hand gegeben. |

Whereupon the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, The LORD is righteous.
| 6 Y los príncipes de Israel y el rey se humillaron, y dijeron: Justo es Jehová. | 6 Da demütigten sich die Obersten in Israel mit dem König und sprachen: Der HERR ist gerecht. |

And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
| 7 Y cuando Jehová vio que se habían humillado, vino palabra de Jehová a Semaías, diciendo: Se han humillado; no los destruiré; antes los salvaré en breve, y no se derramará mi ira contra Jerusalén por mano de Sisac. | 7 Als aber der HERR sah, daß sie sich demütigten, kam das Wort des HERRN zu Schemaja: Sie haben sich gedemütigt; darum will ich sie nicht verderben, sondern ich will sie in Kürze erretten, daß mein Grimm sich nicht durch Schischak auf Jerusalem ergieße. |

Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.
| 8 Pero serán sus siervos, para que sepan lo que es servirme a mí, y qué es servir a los reinos de las naciones. | 8 Doch sollen sie ihm untertan sein, damit sie innewerden, was es heißt, mir zu dienen oder den Königreichen der Länder. |

So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
| 9 Subió, pues, Sisac rey de Egipto a Jerusalén, y tomó los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa del rey; todo lo llevó, y tomó los escudos de oro que Salomón había hecho. | 9 So zog Schischak, der König von Ägypten, gegen Jerusalem herauf und nahm die Schätze im Hause des HERRN und die Schätze im Hause des Königs; alles nahm er weg, auch die goldenen Schilde, die Salomo hatte machen lassen. |

Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king's house.
| 10 Y en lugar de ellos hizo el rey Roboam escudos de bronce, y los entregó a los jefes de la guardia, los cuales custodiaban la entrada de la casa del rey. | 10 An ihrer Statt ließ der König Rehabeam kupferne Schilde machen und übergab sie den Obersten der Leibwache, die das Tor am Haus des Königs bewachte. |

And when the king entered into the house of the LORD, the guard came and fetched them, and brought them again into the guard chamber.
| 11 Cuando el rey iba a la casa de Jehová, venían los de la guardia y los llevaban, y después los volvían a la cámara de la guardia. | 11 Und sooft der König in des HERRN Haus ging, kam die Leibwache und trug sie und brachte sie dann wieder in ihre Kammer. |

And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
| 12 Y cuando él se humilló, la ira de Jehová se apartó de él, para no destruirlo del todo; y también en Judá las cosas fueron bien. | 12 Und weil er sich demütigte, wandte sich des HERRN Zorn von ihm, daß er ihn nicht ganz verdarb; denn auch in Juda war noch manches Gute. |

So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
| 13 Fortalecido, pues, Roboam, reinó en Jerusalén; y era Roboam de cuarenta y un ańos cuando comenzó a reinar, y diecisiete ańos reinó en Jerusalén, ciudad que escogió Jehová de todas las tribus de Israel para poner en ella su nombre. Y el nombre de la madre de Roboam fue Naama amonita. | 13 Und der König Rehabeam wurde wieder mächtig in Jerusalem und regierte weiter. Einundvierzig Jahre alt war Rehabeam, als er König wurde, und regierte siebzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem in der Stadt, die der HERR erwählt hatte aus allen Städten Israels, daß er seinen Namen daselbst wohnen lasse. Seine Mutter hieß Naama, eine Ammoniterin. |

And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
| 14 E hizo lo malo, porque no dispuso su corazón para buscar a Jehová. | 14 Aber er tat übel und richtete sein Herz nicht darauf, daß er den HERRN suchte. |

Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
| 15 Las cosas de Roboam, primeras y postreras, żno están escritas en los libros del profeta Semaías y del vidente Iddo, en el registro de las familias? Y entre Roboam y Jeroboam hubo guerra constante. | 15 Die Geschichte Rehabeams aber, die frühere und die spätere, steht geschrieben in den Geschichten des Propheten Schemaja und des Sehers Iddo, ebenso auch die Kriege zwischen Rehabeam und Jerobeam, die sie ihr Leben lang führten. |

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his stead. | 16 Y durmió Roboam con sus padres, y fue sepultado en la ciudad de David; y reinó en su lugar Abías su hijo. | 16 Und Rehabeam legte sich zu seinen Vätern und wurde begraben in der Stadt Davids. Und sein Sohn Abija wurde König an seiner Statt. |
