And the men of Kirjath-jearim came, and fetched up the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.
| 1 Vinieron los de Quiriat-jearim y llevaron el arca de Jehová, y la pusieron en casa de Abinadab, situada en el collado; y santificaron a Eleazar su hijo para que guardase el arca de Jehová. | 1 Da kamen die Leute von Kirjat-Jearim und holten die Lade des HERRN herauf und brachten sie ins Haus Abinadabs auf dem Hügel, und seinen Sohn Eleasar weihten sie, daß er über die Lade des HERRN wache. |

And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjath-jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after the LORD.
| 2 Desde el día que llegó el arca a Quiriat-jearim pasaron muchos días, veinte ańos; y toda la casa de Israel lamentaba en pos de Jehová.
Samuel, | 2 Aber von dem Tage an, da die Lade des HERRN zu Kirjat-Jearim blieb, verging eine lange Zeit; es wurden zwanzig Jahre. Dann wandte sich das ganze Haus Israel zum HERRN. |

And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
| 3 Habló Samuel a toda la casa de Israel, diciendo: Si de todo vuestro corazón os volvéis a Jehová, quitad los dioses ajenos y a Astarot de entre vosotros, y preparad vuestro corazón a Jehová, y sólo a él servid, y os librará de la mano de los filisteos. | 3 Samuel aber sprach zum ganzen Hause Israel: Wenn ihr euch von ganzem Herzen zu dem HERRN bekehren wollt, so tut von euch die fremden Götter und die Astarten und richtet euer Herz zu dem HERRN und dient ihm allein, so wird er euch erretten aus der Hand der Philister. |

Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.
| 4 Entonces los hijos de Israel quitaron a los baales y a Astarot, y sirvieron sólo a Jehová. | 4 Da taten die Israeliten von sich die Baale und Astarten und dienten dem HERRN allein. |

And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the LORD.
| 5 Y Samuel dijo: Reunid a todo Israel en Mizpa, y yo oraré por vosotros a Jehová. | 5 Samuel aber sprach: Versammelt ganz Israel in Mizpa, daß ich für euch zum HERRN bete. |

And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.
| 6 Y se reunieron en Mizpa, y sacaron agua, y la derramaron delante de Jehová, y ayunaron aquel día, y dijeron allí: Contra Jehová hemos pecado. Y juzgó Samuel a los hijos de Israel en Mizpa. | 6 Und sie kamen zusammen in Mizpa und schöpften Wasser und gossen es aus vor dem HERRN und fasteten an demselben Tage und sprachen dort: Wir haben an dem HERRN gesündigt. So richtete Samuel die Israeliten zu Mizpa. |

And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.
| 7 Cuando oyeron los filisteos que los hijos de Israel estaban reunidos en Mizpa, subieron los príncipes de los filisteos contra Israel; y al oír esto los hijos de Israel, tuvieron temor de los filisteos. | 7 Als aber die Philister hörten, daß die Israeliten zusammengekommen waren in Mizpa, zogen die Fürsten der Philister hinauf gegen Israel. Und die Israeliten hörten es und fürchteten sich vor den Philistern. |

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.
| 8 Entonces dijeron los hijos de Israel a Samuel: No ceses de clamar por nosotros a Jehová nuestro Dios, para que nos guarde de la mano de los filisteos. | 8 Und sie sprachen zu Samuel: Laß nicht ab, für uns zu schreien zu dem HERRN, unserm Gott, daß er uns helfe aus der Hand der Philister. |

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.
| 9 Y Samuel tomó un cordero de leche y lo sacrificó entero en holocausto a Jehová; y clamó Samuel a Jehová por Israel, y Jehová le oyó. | 9 Samuel nahm ein Milchlamm und opferte dem HERRN ein Brandopfer - als Ganzopfer - und schrie zum HERRN für Israel, und der HERR erhörte ihn. |

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.
| 10 Y aconteció que mientras Samuel sacrificaba el holocausto, los filisteos llegaron para pelear con los hijos de Israel. Mas Jehová tronó aquel día con gran estruendo sobre los filisteos, y los atemorizó, y fueron vencidos delante de Israel. | 10 Und während Samuel das Brandopfer opferte, kamen die Philister heran zum Kampf gegen Israel. Aber der HERR ließ donnern mit großem Schall über die Philister am selben Tage und schreckte sie, daß sie vor Israel geschlagen wurden. |

And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth-car.
| 11 Y saliendo los hijos de Israel de Mizpa, siguieron a los filisteos, hiriéndolos hasta abajo de Bet-car. | 11 Da zogen die Männer Israels aus von Mizpa und jagten den Philistern nach und schlugen sie bis unterhalb von Bet-Kar. |

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.
| 12 Tomó luego Samuel una piedra y la puso entre Mizpa y Sen, y le puso por nombre Eben-ezer, diciendo: Hasta aquí nos ayudó Jehová. | 12 Da nahm Samuel einen Stein und stellte ihn auf zwischen Mizpa und Schen und nannte ihn "Eben-Eser"* und sprach: Bis hierher hat uns der HERR geholfen. *d. . Stein der Hilfe. |

So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
| 13 Así fueron sometidos los filisteos, y no volvieron más a entrar en el territorio de Israel; y la mano de Jehová estuvo contra los filisteos todos los días de Samuel. | 13 So wurden die Philister gedemütigt und kamen nicht mehr in das Gebiet Israels. Und die Hand des HERRN lag schwer auf den Philistern, solange Samuel lebte. |

And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
| 14 Y fueron restituidas a los hijos de Israel las ciudades que los filisteos habían tomado a los israelitas, desde Ecrón hasta Gat; e Israel libró su territorio de mano de los filisteos. Y hubo paz entre Israel y el amorreo. | 14 Auch eroberte Israel die Städte zurück, die die Philister ihnen genommen hatten, von Ekron bis Gat samt ihrem Gebiet; die errettete Israel aus der Hand der Philister. Und Israel hatte Frieden mit den Amoritern. |

And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

And he went from year to year in circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and judged Israel in all those places.
| 16 Y todos los ańos iba y daba vuelta a Bet-el, a Gilgal y a Mizpa, y juzgaba a Israel en todos estos lugares. | 16 und zog Jahr für Jahr umher und kam nach Bethel und Gilgal und Mizpa. Und wenn er Israel an allen diesen Orten gerichtet hatte, |

And his return was to Ramah; for there was his house; and there he judged Israel; and there he built an altar unto the LORD. | 17 Después volvía a Ramá, porque allí estaba su casa, y allí juzgaba a Israel; y edificó allí un altar a Jehová. | 17 kam er wieder nach Rama - denn da war sein Haus -, und dort richtete er Israel. Auch baute er dort dem HERRN einen Altar. |
