Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.

And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with Achish.
| 2 Y cuando los príncipes de los filisteos pasaban revista a sus compañías de a ciento y de a mil hombres, David y sus hombres iban en la retaguardia con Aquis. | 2 Und die Fürsten der Philister zogen daher mit ihren Hundertschaften und Tausendschaften. David aber und seine Männer zogen hinterher mit Achisch. |

Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?
| 3 Y dijeron los príncipes de los filisteos: ¿Qué hacen aquí estos hebreos? Y Aquis respondió a los príncipes de los filisteos: ¿No es éste David, el siervo de Saúl rey de Israel, que ha estado conmigo por días y años, y no he hallado falta en él desde el día que se pasó a mí hasta hoy? | 3 Da sprachen die Obersten der Philister: Was sollen diese Hebräer? Achisch sprach zu ihnen: Das ist David, der Knecht Sauls, des Königs von Israel, der nun bei mir gewesen ist Jahr und Tag; ich habe nichts an ihm gefunden seit der Zeit, da er abgefallen ist, bis heute. |

And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
| 4 Entonces los príncipes de los filisteos se enojaron contra él, y le dijeron: Despide a este hombre, para que se vuelva al lugar que le señalaste, y no venga con nosotros a la batalla, no sea que en la batalla se nos vuelva enemigo; porque ¿con qué cosa volvería mejor a la gracia de su señor que con las cabezas de estos hombres? | 4 Aber die Obersten der Philister wurden zornig auf ihn und sprachen zu ihm: Schick den Mann zurück! Er soll an den Ort zurückkehren, den du ihm angewiesen hast, damit er nicht mit uns hinziehe zum Kampf und unser Widersacher werde im Kampf. Denn womit könnte er seinem Herrn einen größeren Gefallen tun als mit den Köpfen unserer Männer? |

Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
| 5 ¿No es éste David, de quien cantaban en las danzas, diciendo:
Saúl hirió a sus miles,
Y David a sus diez miles? | 5 Ist das denn nicht derselbe David, von dem sie sangen im Reigen: Saul hat tausend geschlagen, David aber zehntausend? |

Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.
| 6 Y Aquis llamó a David y le dijo: Vive Jehová, que tú has sido recto, y que me ha parecido bien tu salida y tu entrada en el campamento conmigo, y que ninguna cosa mala he hallado en ti desde el día que viniste a mí hasta hoy; mas a los ojos de los príncipes no agradas. | 6 Da rief Achisch David und sprach zu ihm: So wahr der HERR lebt: ich halte dich für redlich, und daß du mit mir aus- und einzögest im Heer, gefiele mir gut, denn ich habe nichts Arges an dir gespürt seit der Zeit, da du zu mir gekommen bist, bis heute; aber du gefällst den Fürsten nicht. |

Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.
| 7 Vuélvete, pues, y vete en paz, para no desagradar a los príncipes de los filisteos. | 7 So kehre nun um und zieh hin mit Frieden, damit du nicht tust, was den Fürsten der Philister nicht gefällt. |

And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
| 8 Y David respondió a Aquis: ¿Qué he hecho? ¿Qué has hallado en tu siervo desde el día que estoy contigo hasta hoy, para que yo no vaya y pelee contra los enemigos de mi señor el rey? | 8 David aber sprach zu Achisch: Was hab ich getan, und was hast du gespürt an deinem Knecht seit der Zeit, da ich dir gedient habe, bis heute, daß ich nicht mitziehen darf und kämpfen gegen die Feinde meines Herrn, des Königs? |

And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
| 9 Y Aquis respondió a David, y dijo: Yo sé que tú eres bueno ante mis ojos, como un ángel de Dios; pero los príncipes de los filisteos me han dicho: No venga con nosotros a la batalla. | 9 Achisch antwortete David: Ich weiß es wohl; denn du bist mir lieb wie ein Engel Gottes. Aber die Obersten der Philister haben gesagt: Laß ihn nicht mit uns hinaufziehen in den Kampf! |

Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master's servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.
| 10 Levántate, pues, de mañana, tú y los siervos de tu señor que han venido contigo; y levantándoos al amanecer, marchad. | 10 So mach dich nun früh am Morgen auf mit den Knechten deines Herrn, die mit dir gekommen sind; macht euch früh am Morgen auf und zieht weg, sobald es Tag ist. |

So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel. | 11 Y se levantó David de mañana, él y sus hombres, para irse y volver a la tierra de los filisteos; y los filisteos fueron a Jezreel. | 11 Da machten sich David und seine Männer früh am Morgen auf, um wegzuziehen und ins Philisterland zurückzukehren. Die Philister aber zogen hinauf nach Jesreel. |
