Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
| 1 Después Samuel dijo a Saúl: Jehová me envió a que te ungiese por rey sobre su pueblo Israel; ahora, pues, está atento a las palabras de Jehová. | 1 Samuel sprach zu Saul: Der HERR hat mich gesandt, daß ich dich zum König salben sollte über sein Volk Israel; so höre nun auf die Worte des HERRN! |

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
| 2 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Yo castigaré lo que hizo Amalec a Israel al oponérsele en el camino cuando subía de Egipto. | 2 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich habe bedacht, was Amalek Israel angetan und wie es ihm den Weg verlegt hat, als Israel aus Ägypten zog. |

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
| 3 Ve, pues, y hiere a Amalec, y destruye todo lo que tiene, y no te apiades de él; mata a hombres, mujeres, nińos, y aun los de pecho, vacas, ovejas, camellos y asnos. | 3 So zieh nun hin und schlag Amalek und vollstrecke den Bann an ihm und an allem, was es hat; verschone sie nicht, sondern töte Mann und Frau, Kinder und Säuglinge, Rinder und Schafe, Kamele und Esel. |

And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
| 4 Saúl, pues, convocó al pueblo y les pasó revista en Telaim, doscientos mil de a pie, y diez mil hombres de Judá. | 4 Da bot Saul das Volk auf, und er musterte sie zu Telem: zweihunderttausend Mann Fußvolk und zehntausend Mann aus Juda. |

And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.
| 5 Y viniendo Saúl a la ciudad de Amalec, puso emboscada en el valle. | 5 Und als Saul zu der Stadt der Amalekiter kam, legte er einen Hinterhalt im Tal. |

And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
| 6 Y dijo Saúl a los ceneos: Idos, apartaos y salid de entre los de Amalec, para que no os destruya juntamente con ellos; porque vosotros mostrasteis misericordia a todos los hijos de Israel, cuando subían de Egipto. Y se apartaron los ceneos de entre los hijos de Amalec. | 6 Und Saul ließ den Kenitern sagen: Geht, weicht und zieht weg von den Amalekitern, daß ich euch nicht mit ihnen aufreibe; denn ihr tatet Barmherzigkeit an allen Israeliten, als sie aus Ägypten zogen. Da zogen die Keniter fort von den Amalekitern. |

And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.
| 7 Y Saúl derrotó a los amalecitas desde Havila hasta llegar a Shur, que está al oriente de Egipto. | 7 Da schlug Saul die Amalekiter von Hawila bis nach Schur, das vor Ägypten liegt, |

And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
| 8 Y tomó vivo a Agag rey de Amalec, pero a todo el pueblo mató a filo de espada. | 8 und nahm Agag, den König von Amalek, lebendig gefangen, und an allem Volk vollstreckte er den Bann mit der Schärfe des Schwerts. |

But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
| 9 Y Saúl y el pueblo perdonaron a Agag, y a lo mejor de las ovejas y del ganado mayor, de los animales engordados, de los carneros y de todo lo bueno, y no lo quisieron destruir; mas todo lo que era vil y despreciable destruyeron. | 9 Aber Saul und das Volk verschonten Agag und die besten Schafe und Rinder und das Mastvieh und die Lämmer und alles, was von Wert war, und sie wollten den Bann daran nicht vollstrecken; was aber nichts taugte und gering war, daran vollstreckten sie den Bann. |

Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
| 10 Y vino palabra de Jehová a Samuel, | 10 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu Samuel: |

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
| 11 Me pesa haber puesto por rey a Saúl, porque se ha vuelto de en pos de mí, y no ha cumplido mis palabras. Y se apesadumbró Samuel, y clamó a Jehová toda aquella noche. | 11 Es reut mich, daß ich Saul zum König gemacht habe; denn er hat sich von mir abgewandt und meine Befehle nicht erfüllt. Darüber wurde Samuel zornig und schrie zu dem HERRN die ganze Nacht. |

And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
| 12 Madrugó luego Samuel para ir a encontrar a Saúl por la mańana; y fue dado aviso a Samuel, diciendo: Saúl ha venido a Carmel, y he aquí se levantó un monumento, y dio la vuelta, y pasó adelante y descendió a Gilgal. | 12 Und Samuel machte sich früh auf, um Saul am Morgen zu begegnen. Und ihm wurde angesagt, daß Saul nach Karmel gekommen sei und sich ein Siegeszeichen aufgerichtet habe und weitergezogen und nach Gilgal hinabgekommen sei. |

And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
| 13 Vino, pues, Samuel a Saúl, y Saúl le dijo: Bendito seas tú de Jehová; yo he cumplido la palabra de Jehová. | 13 Als nun Samuel zu Saul kam, sprach Saul zu ihm: Gesegnet seist du vom HERRN! Ich habe des HERRN Wort erfüllt. |

And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
| 14 Samuel entonces dijo: żPues qué balido de ovejas y bramido de vacas es este que yo oigo con mis oídos? | 14 Samuel antwortete: Und was ist das für ein Blöken von Schafen, das zu meinen Ohren kommt, und ein Brüllen von Rindern, das ich höre? |

And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
| 15 Y Saúl respondió: De Amalec los han traído; porque el pueblo perdonó lo mejor de las ovejas y de las vacas, para sacrificarlas a Jehová tu Dios, pero lo demás lo destruimos. | 15 Saul sprach: Von den Amalekitern hat man sie gebracht; denn das Volk verschonte die besten Schafe und Rinder, um sie zu opfern dem HERRN, deinem Gott; an dem andern haben wir den Bann vollstreckt. |

Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.
| 16 Entonces dijo Samuel a Saúl: Déjame declararte lo que Jehová me ha dicho esta noche. Y él le respondió: Di. | 16 Samuel aber antwortete Saul: Halt ein, ich will dir sagen, was der HERR mit mir diese Nacht geredet hat. Er sprach: Sag an! |

And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?
| 17 Y dijo Samuel: Aunque eras pequeńo en tus propios ojos, żno has sido hecho jefe de las tribus de Israel, y Jehová te ha ungido por rey sobre Israel? | 17 Samuel sprach: Ist's nicht so: Obschon du vor dir selbst gering warst, so bist du doch das Haupt der Stämme Israels; denn der HERR hat dich zum König über Israel gesalbt. |

And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
| 18 Y Jehová te envió en misión y dijo: Ve, destruye a los pecadores de Amalec, y hazles guerra hasta que los acabes. | 18 Und der HERR sandte dich auf den Weg und sprach: Zieh hin und vollstrecke den Bann an den Frevlern, den Amalekitern, und kämpfe mit ihnen, bis du sie vertilgt hast! |

Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?
| 19 żPor qué, pues, no has oído la voz de Jehová, sino que vuelto al botín has hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová? | 19 Warum hast du der Stimme des HERRN nicht gehorcht, sondern hast dich an die Beute gemacht und getan, was dem HERRN mißfiel? |

And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
| 20 Y Saúl respondió a Samuel: Antes bien he obedecido la voz de Jehová, y fui a la misión que Jehová me envió, y he traído a Agag rey de Amalec, y he destruido a los amalecitas. | 20 Saul antwortete Samuel: Ich habe doch der Stimme des HERRN gehorcht und bin den Weg gezogen, den mich der HERR sandte, und habe Agag, den König von Amalek, hergebracht und an den Amalekitern den Bann vollstreckt. |

But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.
| 21 Mas el pueblo tomó del botín ovejas y vacas, las primicias del anatema, para ofrecer sacrificios a Jehová tu Dios en Gilgal. | 21 Aber das Volk hat von der Beute genommen Schafe und Rinder, das Beste vom Gebannten, um es dem HERRN, deinem Gott, zu opfern in Gilgal. |

And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
| 22 Y Samuel dijo: żSe complace Jehová tanto en los holocaustos y víctimas, como en que se obedezca a las palabras de Jehová? Ciertamente el obedecer es mejor que los sacrificios, y el prestar atención que la grosura de los carneros. | 22 Samuel aber sprach: Meinst du, daß der HERR Gefallen habe am Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer gleichwie am Gehorsam gegen die Stimme des HERRN? Siehe, Gehorsam ist besser als Opfer und Aufmerken besser als das Fett von Widdern. |

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
| 23 Porque como pecado de adivinación es la rebelión, y como ídolos e idolatría la obstinación. Por cuanto tú desechaste la palabra de Jehová, él también te ha desechado para que no seas rey. | 23 Denn Ungehorsam ist Sünde wie Zauberei, und Widerstreben ist wie Abgötterei und Götzendienst. Weil du des HERRN Wort verworfen hast, hat er dich auch verworfen, daß du nicht mehr König seist. |

And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
| 24 Entonces Saúl dijo a Samuel: Yo he pecado; pues he quebrantado el mandamiento de Jehová y tus palabras, porque temí al pueblo y consentí a la voz de ellos. Perdona, pues, ahora mi pecado, | 24 Da sprach Saul zu Samuel: Ich habe gesündigt, daß ich des HERRN Befehl und deine Worte übertreten habe; denn ich fürchtete das Volk und gehorchte seiner Stimme. |

Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD.
| 25 y vuelve conmigo para que adore a Jehová. | 25 Und nun, vergib mir die Sünde und kehre mit mir um, daß ich den HERRN anbete. |

And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.
| 26 Y Samuel respondió a Saúl: No volveré contigo; porque desechaste la palabra de Jehová, y Jehová te ha desechado para que no seas rey sobre Israel. | 26 Samuel sprach zu Saul: Ich will nicht mit dir umkehren; denn du hast des HERRN Wort verworfen, und der HERR hat dich auch verworfen, daß du nicht mehr König über Israel seist. |

And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.
| 27 Y volviéndose Samuel para irse, él se asió de la punta de su manto, y éste se rasgó. | 27 Und als sich Samuel umwandte, um wegzugehen, ergriff ihn Saul bei einem Zipfel seines Rocks; aber der riß ab. |

And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.
| 28 Entonces Samuel le dijo: Jehová ha rasgado hoy de ti el reino de Israel, y lo ha dado a un prójimo tuyo mejor que tú. | 28 Da sprach Samuel zu ihm: Der HERR hat das Königtum Israels heute von dir gerissen und einem andern gegeben, der besser ist als du. |

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
| 29 Además, el que es la Gloria de Israel no mentirá, ni se arrepentirá, porque no es hombre para que se arrepienta. | 29 Auch lügt der nicht, der Israels Ruhm ist, und es gereut ihn nicht; denn er ist nicht ein Mensch, daß ihn etwas gereuen könnte. |

Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.
| 30 Y él dijo: Yo he pecado; pero te ruego que me honres delante de los ancianos de mi pueblo y delante de Israel, y vuelvas conmigo para que adore a Jehová tu Dios. | 30 Saul aber sprach: Ich habe gesündigt; aber ehre mich doch jetzt vor den Ältesten meines Volks und vor Israel und kehre mit mir um, daß ich den HERRN, deinen Gott, anbete. |

So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
| 31 Y volvió Samuel tras Saúl, y adoró Saúl a Jehová. | 31 Da kehrte Samuel um und folgte Saul, und Saul betete den HERRN an. |

Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.
| 32 Después dijo Samuel: Traedme a Agag rey de Amalec. Y Agag vino a él alegremente. Y dijo Agag: Ciertamente ya pasó la amargura de la muerte. | 32 Und Samuel sprach: Bringt Agag, den König von Amalek, zu mir! Und Agag ging hin zu ihm zitternd und sprach: Fürwahr, bitter ist der Tod! |

And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
| 33 Y Samuel dijo: Como tu espada dejó a las mujeres sin hijos, así tu madre será sin hijo entre las mujeres. Entonces Samuel cortó en pedazos a Agag delante de Jehová en Gilgal. | 33 Samuel aber sprach: Wie dein Schwert Frauen ihrer Kinder beraubt hat, so soll auch deine Mutter der Kinder beraubt sein unter den Frauen. Und Samuel hieb den Agag in Stücke vor dem HERRN in Gilgal. |

Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.
| 34 Se fue luego Samuel a Ramá, y Saúl subió a su casa en Gabaa de Saúl. | 34 Und Samuel ging hin nach Rama; Saul aber zog hinauf in sein Haus zu Gibea Sauls. |

And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel. | 35 Y nunca después vio Samuel a Saúl en toda su vida; y Samuel lloraba a Saúl; y Jehová se arrepentía de haber puesto a Saúl por rey sobre Israel. | 35 Und Samuel sah Saul fortan nicht mehr bis an den Tag seines Todes. Aber doch trug Samuel Leid um Saul, weil es den HERRN gereut hatte, daß er Saul zum König über Israel gemacht hatte. |
