Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.
| 1 Aconteció un día, que Jonatán hijo de Saúl dijo a su criado que le traía las armas: Ven y pasemos a la guarnición de los filisteos, que está de aquel lado. Y no lo hizo saber a su padre. | 1 Es begab sich eines Tages, daß Jonatan, der Sohn Sauls, zu seinem Waffenträger sprach: Komm, laß uns hinübergehen zu der Wache der Philister, die da drüben ist. Aber seinem Vater sagte er nichts. |

And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him were about six hundred men;

And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, I-chabod's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD's priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.
| 3 Y Ahías hijo de Ahitob, hermano de Icabod, hijo de Finees, hijo de Elí, sacerdote de Jehová en Silo, llevaba el efod; y no sabía el pueblo que Jonatán se hubiese ido. | 3 Und Ahija, der Sohn Ahitubs, des Bruders Ikabods, des Sohnes des Pinhas, des Sohnes Elis, des Priesters des HERRN zu Silo, trug den Priesterschurz. Das Volk wußte aber nicht, daß Jonatan weggegangen war. |

And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines' garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.
| 4 Y entre los desfiladeros por donde Jonatán procuraba pasar a la guarnición de los filisteos, había un peñasco agudo de un lado, y otro del otro lado; el uno se llamaba Boses, y el otro Sene. | 4 Es waren aber an dem engen Wege, wo Jonatan hinüberzugehen suchte zu der Wache der Philister, zwei Felsklippen, die eine diesseits, die andere jenseits; die eine hieß Bozez, die andere Senne. |

The forefront of the one was situate northward over against Michmash, and the other southward over against Gibeah.
| 5 Uno de los peñascos estaba situado al norte, hacia Micmas, y el otro al sur, hacia Gabaa. | 5 Die eine Felsklippe stand im Norden gegenüber Michmas und die andere im Süden gegenüber Geba. |

And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
| 6 Dijo, pues, Jonatán a su paje de armas: Ven, pasemos a la guarnición de estos incircuncisos; quizá haga algo Jehová por nosotros, pues no es difícil para Jehová salvar con muchos o con pocos. | 6 Und Jonatan sprach zu seinem Waffenträger: Komm, laß uns hinübergehen zu der Wache dieser Unbeschnittenen! Vielleicht wird der HERR etwas für uns tun, denn es ist dem HERRN nicht schwer, durch viel oder wenig zu helfen. |

And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.
| 7 Y su paje de armas le respondió: Haz todo lo que tienes en tu corazón; ve, pues aquí estoy contigo a tu voluntad. | 7 Da antwortete ihm sein Waffenträger: Tu alles, was in deinem Herzen ist; geh nur hin! Siehe, ich bin mit dir, wie dein Herz will. |

Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.
| 8 Dijo entonces Jonatán: Vamos a pasar a esos hombres, y nos mostraremos a ellos. | 8 Jonatan sprach: Wohlan, wir gehen zu den Männern hinüber und zeigen uns ihnen. |

If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.
| 9 Si nos dijeren así: Esperad hasta que lleguemos a vosotros, entonces nos estaremos en nuestro lugar, y no subiremos a ellos. | 9 Werden sie dann zu uns sagen: Steht still, bis wir zu euch herankommen!, so wollen wir an unserm Ort stehenbleiben und nicht zu ihnen hinaufgehen. |

But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us.
| 10 Mas si nos dijeren así: Subid a nosotros, entonces subiremos, porque Jehová los ha entregado en nuestra mano; y esto nos será por señal. | 10 Werden sie aber sagen: Kommt zu uns herauf!, so wollen wir zu ihnen hinaufsteigen; dann hat sie der HERR in unsere Hände gegeben. Das soll uns zum Zeichen sein. |

And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.
| 11 Se mostraron, pues, ambos a la guarnición de los filisteos, y los filisteos dijeron: He aquí los hebreos, que salen de las cavernas donde se habían escondido. | 11 Als sie sich nun beide der Wache der Philister zeigten, sprachen die Philister: Siehe, die Hebräer sind aus den Löchern hervorgekommen, in die sie sich verkrochen hatten. |

And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel.
| 12 Y los hombres de la guarnición respondieron a Jonatán y a su paje de armas, y dijeron: Subid a nosotros, y os haremos saber una cosa. Entonces Jonatán dijo a su paje de armas: Sube tras mí, porque Jehová los ha entregado en manos de Israel. | 12 Und die Männer der Wache riefen Jonatan und seinem Waffenträger zu und sprachen: Kommt herauf zu uns, so wollen wir's euch schon lehren! Da sprach Jonatan zu seinem Waffenträger: Steig mir nach! Der HERR hat sie in die Hände Israels gegeben. |

And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after him.
| 13 Y subió Jonatán trepando con sus manos y sus pies, y tras él su paje de armas; y a los que caían delante de Jonatán, su paje de armas que iba tras él los mataba. | 13 Und Jonatan kletterte mit Händen und Füßen hinauf und sein Waffenträger ihm nach. Da fielen sie zu Boden vor Jonatan, und sein Waffenträger hinter ihm tötete sie. |

And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow.
| 14 Y fue esta primera matanza que hicieron Jonatán y su paje de armas, como veinte hombres, en el espacio de una media yugada de tierra. | 14 So traf der erste Schlag, den Jonatan und sein Waffenträger taten, ungefähr zwanzig Mann etwa auf einer halben Hufe Acker, die ein Joch Rinder pflügt. |

And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
| 15 Y hubo pánico en el campamento y por el campo, y entre toda la gente de la guarnición; y los que habían ido a merodear, también ellos tuvieron pánico, y la tierra tembló; hubo, pues, gran consternación. | 15 Und es entstand ein Schrecken im Lager und auf dem freien Felde; und das ganze Kriegsvolk, die Wache und die streifenden Rotten erschraken; und die Erde erbebte. Und so geschah ein Gottesschrecken. |

And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another.
| 16 Y los centinelas de Saúl vieron desde Gabaa de Benjamín cómo la multitud estaba turbada, e iba de un lado a otro y era deshecha. | 16 Und die Wächter Sauls zu Gibea in Benjamin sahen, wie das Getümmel der Philister hin und her wogte. |

Then said Saul unto the people that were with him, Number now, and see who is gone from us. And when they had numbered, behold, Jonathan and his armourbearer were not there.
| 17 Entonces Saúl dijo al pueblo que estaba con él: Pasad ahora revista, y ved quién se haya ido de los nuestros. And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.
| 18 Y Saúl dijo a Ahías: Trae el arca de Dios. Porque el arca de Dios estaba entonces con los hijos de Israel. | 18 Da sprach Saul zu Ahija: Bringe den Efod herbei! Denn er trug den Efod in jener Zeit vor Israel. |

And it came to pass, while Saul talked unto the priest, that the noise that was in the host of the Philistines went on and increased: and Saul said unto the priest, Withdraw thine hand.
| 19 Pero aconteció que mientras aún hablaba Saúl con el sacerdote, el alboroto que había en el campamento de los filisteos aumentaba, e iba creciendo en gran manera. Entonces dijo Saúl al sacerdote: Detén tu mano. | 19 Und als Saul noch mit dem Priester redete, wurde das Getümmel im Lager der Philister immer größer. Und Saul sprach zum Priester: Laß es sein! |

And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture.
| 20 Y juntando Saúl a todo el pueblo que con él estaba, llegaron hasta el lugar de la batalla; y he aquí que la espada de cada uno estaba vuelta contra su compañero, y había gran confusión. | 20 Und Saul und das ganze Volk, das bei ihm war, sammelten sich und kamen zum Kampfplatz. Und siehe, da ging eines jeden Schwert gegen den andern, und es war ein sehr großes Getümmel. |

Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan.
| 21 Y los hebreos que habían estado con los filisteos de tiempo atrás, y habían venido con ellos de los alrededores al campamento, se pusieron también del lado de los israelitas que estaban con Saúl y con Jonatán. | 21 Auch die Hebräer, die vorher bei den Philistern gewesen und mit ihnen ins Feld gezogen waren, gingen über zu denen von Israel, die mit Saul und Jonatan waren. |

Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.
| 22 Asimismo todos los israelitas que se habían escondido en el monte de Efraín, oyendo que los filisteos huían, también ellos los persiguieron en aquella batalla. | 22 Und als alle Männer von Israel, die sich auf dem Gebirge Ephraim verkrochen hatten, hörten, daß die Philister flohen, jagten sie hinter ihnen her im Kampf. |

So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Beth-aven.
| 23 Así salvó Jehová a Israel aquel día. Y llegó la batalla hasta Bet-avén. | 23 So half der HERR Israel an diesem Tage. Und der Kampf breitete sich aus bis Bet- Awen. |

And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food.
| 24 Pero los hombres de Israel fueron puestos en apuro aquel día; porque Saúl había juramentado al pueblo, diciendo: Cualquiera que coma pan antes de caer la noche, antes que haya tomado venganza de mis enemigos, sea maldito. Y todo el pueblo no había probado pan. | 24 Und als die Männer Israels in Bedrängnis kamen an jenem Tage, belegte Saul das Volk mit seinem Fluch und schwor: Verflucht sei jedermann, der etwas ißt bis zum Abend, bis ich mich an meinen Feinden räche! Da aß das ganze Volk nichts. |

And all they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.
| 25 Y todo el pueblo llegó a un bosque, donde había miel en la superficie del campo. | 25 Es waren aber Honigwaben auf dem Felde, |

And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath.
| 26 Entró, pues, el pueblo en el bosque, y he aquí que la miel corría; pero no hubo quien hiciera llegar su mano a su boca, porque el pueblo temía el juramento. | 26 und als das Volk hinkam zu den Waben, siehe, da floß der Honig. Aber niemand nahm davon etwas mit der Hand in seinen Mund; denn das Volk fürchtete den Schwur. |

But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.
| 27 Pero Jonatán no había oído cuando su padre había juramentado al pueblo, y alargó la punta de una vara que traía en su mano, y la mojó en un panal de miel, y llevó su mano a la boca; y fueron aclarados sus ojos. | 27 Jonatan aber hatte nicht gehört, daß sein Vater das Volk mit einem Schwur belegt hatte. Und er streckte seinen Stab aus, den er in seiner Hand hatte, und tauchte die Spitze in den Honigseim und führte seine Hand zum Munde; da strahlten seine Augen. |

Then answered one of the people, and said, Thy father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food this day. And the people were faint.
| 28 Entonces habló uno del pueblo, diciendo: Tu padre ha hecho jurar solemnemente al pueblo, diciendo: Maldito sea el hombre que tome hoy alimento. Y el pueblo desfallecía. | 28 Da hob einer aus dem Volk an und sprach: Dein Vater hat das Volk mit einem Fluch belegt und geschworen: Verflucht sei jedermann, der heute etwas ißt! So ist das Volk nun matt geworden. |

Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.
| 29 Respondió Jonatán: Mi padre ha turbado el país. Ved ahora cómo han sido aclarados mis ojos, por haber gustado un poco de esta miel. | 29 Da sprach Jonatan: Mein Vater bringt das Land ins Unglück; seht, wie strahlend sind meine Augen geworden, weil ich ein wenig von diesem Honig gekostet habe. |

How much more, if haply the people had eaten freely to day of the spoil of their enemies which they found? for had there not been now a much greater slaughter among the Philistines?
| 30 ¿Cuánto más si el pueblo hubiera comido libremente hoy del botín tomado de sus enemigos? ¿No se habría hecho ahora mayor estrago entre los filisteos? | 30 Fürwahr, hätte doch das Volk heute gegessen von der Beute seiner Feinde, die es gemacht hat! Wäre dann die Niederlage der Philister nicht noch größer geworden? |

And they smote the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint.
| 31 E hirieron aquel día a los filisteos desde Micmas hasta Ajalón; pero el pueblo estaba muy cansado. | 31 Sie schlugen aber die Philister an jenem Tage von Michmas bis nach Ajalon. Und das Volk wurde sehr matt. |

And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with the blood.
| 32 Y se lanzó el pueblo sobre el botín, y tomaron ovejas y vacas y becerros, y los degollaron en el suelo; y el pueblo los comió con sangre. | 32 Und das Volk fiel über die Beute her, und sie nahmen Schafe und Rinder und Kälber und schlachteten sie, daß das Blut auf die Erde floß, und aßen das Fleisch über dem Blut. |

Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin against the LORD, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, Ye have transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day.
| 33 Y le dieron aviso a Saúl, diciendo: El pueblo peca contra Jehová, comiendo la carne con la sangre. Y él dijo: Vosotros habéis prevaricado; rodadme ahora acá una piedra grande. | 33 Da sagte man Saul: Siehe, das Volk versündigt sich am HERRN; denn es ißt das Fleisch über dem Blut. Er sprach: Ihr habt gefrevelt; wälzt her zu mir einen großen Stein. |

And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the LORD in eating with the blood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.
| 34 Además dijo Saúl: Esparcíos por el pueblo, y decidles que me traigan cada uno su vaca, y cada cual su oveja, y degolladlas aquí, y comed; y no pequéis contra Jehová comiendo la carne con la sangre. Y trajo todo el pueblo cada cual por su mano su vaca aquella noche, y las degollaron allí. | 34 Und Saul sprach weiter: Zerstreut euch unter das Volk und sagt ihnen, daß ein jeder seinen Stier und sein Schaf zu mir bringen soll, und schlachtet's hier und esset, damit ihr euch nicht an dem HERRN versündigt mit dem Essen über dem Blut. Da brachte alles Volk, ein jeder, was er hatte, noch in der Nacht herzu, und sie schlachteten es dort. |

And Saul built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the first altar that he built unto the LORD.
| 35 Y edificó Saúl altar a Jehová; este altar fue el primero que edificó a Jehová. | 35 Und Saul baute dem HERRN einen Altar. Das war der erste Altar, den er dem HERRN baute. |

And Saul said, Let us go down after the Philistines by night, and spoil them until the morning light, and let us not leave a man of them. And they said, Do whatsoever seemeth good unto thee. Then said the priest, Let us draw near hither unto God.
| 36 Y dijo Saúl: Descendamos de noche contra los filisteos, y los saquearemos hasta la mañana, y no dejaremos de ellos ninguno. Y ellos dijeron: Haz lo que bien te pareciere. Dijo luego el sacerdote: Acerquémonos aquí a Dios. | 36 Und Saul sprach: Laßt uns noch in der Nacht hinabziehen den Philistern nach und sie berauben, bis es lichter Morgen wird, und laßt niemand von ihnen übrig. Sie antworteten: Tu alles, was dir gefällt! Aber der Priester sprach: So laßt uns erst hierher vor Gott treten. |

And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.
| 37 Y Saúl consultó a Dios: ¿Descenderé tras los filisteos? ¿Los entregarás en mano de Israel? Mas Jehová no le dio respuesta aquel día. | 37 Und Saul befragte Gott: Soll ich hinabziehen den Philistern nach? Willst du sie in Israels Hände geben? Aber er antwortete ihm an diesem Tage nicht. |

And Saul said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.
| 38 Entonces dijo Saúl: Venid acá todos los principales del pueblo, y sabed y ved en qué ha consistido este pecado hoy; | 38 Da sprach Saul: Laßt herzutreten alle Obersten des Volks und forschet und seht, an wem heute die Schuld liegt. |

For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.
| 39 porque vive Jehová que salva a Israel, que aunque fuere en Jonatán mi hijo, de seguro morirá. Y no hubo en todo el pueblo quien le respondiese. | 39 Denn so wahr der HERR lebt, der Heiland Israels: auch wenn sie bei meinem Sohn Jonatan wäre, so soll er sterben! Aber niemand aus dem ganzen Volk antwortete ihm. |

Then said he unto all Israel, Be ye on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seemeth good unto thee.
| 40 Dijo luego a todo Israel: Vosotros estaréis a un lado, y yo y Jonatán mi hijo estaremos al otro lado. Y el pueblo respondió a Saúl: Haz lo que bien te pareciere. | 40 Und er sprach zu ganz Israel: Tretet ihr auf die eine Seite, ich und mein Sohn Jonatan wollen auf die andere Seite treten. Das Volk sprach zu Saul: Tu, was dir gefällt. |

Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.
| 41 Entonces dijo Saúl a Jehová Dios de Israel: Da suerte perfecta. Y la suerte cayó sobre Jonatán y Saúl, y el pueblo salió libre. | 41 Und Saul sprach zum HERRN: Gott Israels, warum hast du deinem Knecht heute nicht geantwortet? Liegt die Schuld bei mir oder bei meinem Sohn Jonatan, HERR, Gott Israels, so gib das Los "Licht"; liegt die Schuld aber an deinem Volk Israel, so gib das Los "Recht". Da fiel das Los auf Jonatan und Saul, aber das Volk ging frei aus. |

And Saul said, Cast lots between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.
| 42 Y Saúl dijo: Echad suertes entre mí y Jonatán mi hijo. Y la suerte cayó sobre Jonatán. | 42 Saul sprach: Werft das Los über mich und meinen Sohn Jonatan! Da fiel das Los auf Jonatan. |

Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die.
| 43 Entonces Saúl dijo a Jonatán: Declárame lo que has hecho. Y Jonatán se lo declaró y dijo: Ciertamente gusté un poco de miel con la punta de la vara que traía en mi mano; ¿y he de morir? | 43 Und Saul sprach zu Jonatan: Sage mir, was hast du getan? Jonatan sagte es ihm und sprach: Ich habe ein wenig Honig gekostet mit der Spitze des Stabes, den ich in meiner Hand hatte; siehe, ich bin bereit zu sterben. |

And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.
| 44 Y Saúl respondió: Así me haga Dios y aun me añada, que sin duda morirás, Jonatán. | 44 Da sprach Saul: Gott tue mir dies und das; Jonatan, du mußt des Todes sterben! |

And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
| 45 Entonces el pueblo dijo a Saúl: ¿Ha de morir Jonatán, el que ha hecho esta grande salvación en Israel? No será así. Vive Jehová, que no ha de caer un cabello de su cabeza en tierra, pues que ha actuado hoy con Dios. Así el pueblo libró de morir a Jonatán. | 45 Aber das Volk sprach zu Saul: Sollte Jonatan sterben, der dies große Heil in Israel vollbracht hat? Das sei ferne! So wahr der HERR lebt: es soll kein Haar von seinem Haupt auf die Erde fallen, denn Gott hat heute durch ihn geholfen. Und so löste das Volk Jonatan aus, so daß er nicht sterben mußte. |

Then Saul went up from following the Philistines: and the Philistines went to their own place.
| 46 Y Saúl dejó de seguir a los filisteos; y los filisteos se fueron a su lugar. | 46 Aber Saul ließ von den Philistern ab und zog hinauf, und die Philister zogen in ihr Land. |

So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them.
