And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.

And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.
| 2 Y aconteció al tercer ańo, que Josafat rey de Judá descendió al rey de Israel. | 2 Im dritten Jahr aber zog Joschafat, der König von Juda, hinab zum König von Israel. |

And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?
| 3 Y el rey de Israel dijo a sus siervos: żNo sabéis que Ramot de Galaad es nuestra, y nosotros no hemos hecho nada para tomarla de mano del rey de Siria? | 3 Und der König von Israel sprach zu seinen Großen: Wisset ihr nicht, daß Ramot in Gilead unser ist, und wir sitzen still und nehmen es nicht dem König von Aram ab? |

And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
| 6 Entonces el rey de Israel reunió a los profetas, como cuatrocientos hombres, a los cuales dijo: żIré a la guerra contra Ramot de Galaad, o la dejaré? Y ellos dijeron: Sube, porque Jehová la entregará en mano del rey. | 6 Da versammelte der König von Israel Propheten, etwa vierhundert Mann, und sprach zu ihnen: Soll ich gegen Ramot in Gilead in den Kampf ziehen, oder soll ich's lassen? And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
| 8 El rey de Israel respondió a Josafat: Aún hay un varón por el cual podríamos consultar a Jehová, Micaías hijo de Imla; mas yo le aborrezco, porque nunca me profetiza bien, sino solamente mal. Y Josafat dijo: No hable el rey así. | 8 Der König von Israel sprach zu Joschafat: Es ist noch einer hier, Micha, der Sohn Jimlas, durch den man den HERRN befragen kann. Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah.
| 9 Entonces el rey de Israel llamó a un oficial, y le dijo: Trae pronto a Micaías hijo de Imla. | 9 Da rief der König von Israel einen Kämmerer und sprach: Bringe eilends her Micha, den Sohn Jimlas! |

And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.
| 11 Y Sedequías hijo de Quenaana se había hecho unos cuernos de hierro, y dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Con éstos acornearás a los sirios hasta acabarlos. | 11 Und Zedekia, der Sohn Kenaanas, hatte sich eiserne Hörner gemacht und sprach: So spricht der HERR: Hiermit wirst du die Aramäer niederstoßen, bis du sie vernichtest. |

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king's hand.
| 12 Y todos los profetas profetizaban de la misma manera, diciendo: Sube a Ramot de Galaad, y serás prosperado; porque Jehová la entregará en mano del rey. | 12 Und alle Propheten weissagten ebenso und sprachen: Zieh hin gegen Ramot in Gilead; es wird dir gelingen! And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.
| 13 Y el mensajero que había ido a llamar a Micaías, le habló diciendo: He aquí que las palabras de los profetas a una voz anuncian al rey cosas buenas; sea ahora tu palabra conforme a la palabra de alguno de ellos, y anuncia también buen éxito. | 13 Und der Bote, der hingegangen war, um Micha zu rufen, sprach zu ihm: Siehe, die Worte der Propheten sind einmütig gut für den König; so laß nun auch dein Wort wie ihr Wort sein und rede Gutes. |

And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.
| 14 Y Micaías respondió: Vive Jehová, que lo que Jehová me hablare, eso diré. | 14 Micha sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt: ich will reden, was der HERR mir sagen wird. |

So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
| 15 Vino, pues, al rey, y el rey le dijo: Micaías, żiremos a pelear contra Ramot de Galaad, o la dejaremos? And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?
| 16 Y el rey le dijo: żHasta cuántas veces he de exigirte que no me digas sino la verdad en el nombre de Jehová? | 16 Der König entgegnete ihm: Wie oft soll ich dich beschwören, daß du mir im Namen des HERRN nichts als die Wahrheit sagst! |

And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.
| 17 Entonces él dijo: Yo vi a todo Israel esparcido por los montes, como ovejas que no tienen pastor; y Jehová dijo: Estos no tienen seńor; vuélvase cada uno a su casa en paz. | 17 Micha sprach: Ich sah ganz Israel zerstreut auf den Bergen wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben. Der HERR aber sprach: Diese haben keinen Herrn; ein jeder kehre wieder heim mit Frieden. |

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?
| 18 Y el rey de Israel dijo a Josafat: żNo te lo había yo dicho? Ninguna cosa buena profetizará él acerca de mí, sino solamente el mal. | 18 Da sprach der König von Israel zu Joschafat: Hab ich dir nicht gesagt, daß er mir nichts Gutes weissagt, sondern nur Böses? |

And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
| 19 Entonces él dijo: Oye, pues, palabra de Jehová: Yo vi a Jehová sentado en su trono, y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba junto a él, a su derecha y a su izquierda. | 19 Micha sprach: Darum höre nun das Wort des HERRN! Ich sah den HERRN sitzen auf seinem Thron und das ganze himmlische Heer neben ihm stehen zu seiner Rechten und Linken. |

And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.
| 20 Y Jehová dijo: żQuién inducirá a Acab, para que suba y caiga en Ramot de Galaad? Y uno decía de una manera, y otro decía de otra. | 20 Und der HERR sprach: Wer will Ahab betören, daß er hinaufzieht und vor Ramot in Gilead fällt? Und einer sagte dies, der andere das. |

And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.
| 21 Y salió un espíritu y se puso delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: żDe qué manera? | 21 Da trat ein Geist vor und stellte sich vor den HERRN und sprach: Ich will ihn betören. Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Womit? |

And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
| 22 El dijo: Yo saldré, y seré espíritu de mentira en boca de todos sus profetas. Y él dijo: Le inducirás, y aun lo conseguirás; vé, pues, y hazlo así. | 22 Er sprach: Ich will ausgehen und will ein Lügengeist sein im Munde aller seiner Propheten. Er sprach: Du sollst ihn betören und sollst es ausrichten; geh aus und tu das! |

Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.
| 23 Y ahora, he aquí Jehová ha puesto espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos tus profetas, y Jehová ha decretado el mal acerca de ti. | 23 Nun siehe, der HERR hat einen Lügengeist gegeben in den Mund aller deiner Propheten; und der HERR hat Unheil gegen dich geredet. |

But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?
| 24 Entonces se acercó Sedequías hijo de Quenaana y golpeó a Micaías en la mejilla, diciendo: żPor dónde se fue de mí el Espíritu de Jehová para hablarte a ti? | 24 Da trat herzu Zedekia, der Sohn Kenaanas, und schlug Micha auf die Backe und sprach: Wie? Ist der Geist des HERRN von mir gewichen, daß er mit dir redet? |

And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
| 25 Y Micaías respondió: He aquí tú lo verás en aquel día, cuando te irás metiendo de aposento en aposento para esconderte. | 25 Micha sprach: Wahrlich, an dem Tage wirst du's sehen, wenn du von einer Kammer in die andere gehst, um dich zu verkriechen. |

And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;
| 26 Entonces el rey de Israel dijo: Toma a Micaías, y llévalo a Amón gobernador de la ciudad, y a Joás hijo del rey; | 26 Der König von Israel sprach: Nimm Micha und bring ihn zu Amon, dem Stadthauptmann, und zu Joasch, dem Sohn des Königs, |

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.
| 27 y dirás: Así ha dicho el rey: Echad a éste en la cárcel, y mantenedle con pan de angustia y con agua de aflicción, hasta que yo vuelva en paz. | 27 und sprich: So spricht der König: Diesen werft in den Kerker und speist ihn nur kärglich mit Brot und Wasser, bis ich mit Frieden wiederkomme. |

And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.
| 28 Y dijo Micaías: Si llegas a volver en paz, Jehová no ha hablado por mí. En seguida dijo: Oíd, pueblos todos. | 28 Micha sprach: Kommst du mit Frieden wieder, so hat der HERR nicht durch mich geredet. Und er sprach: Höret, alle Völker! |

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.
| 29 Subió, pues, el rey de Israel con Josafat rey de Judá a Ramot de Galaad. | 29 So zogen der König von Israel und Joschafat, der König von Juda, hinauf gegen Ramot in Gilead. |

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
| 30 Y el rey de Israel dijo a Josafat: Yo me disfrazaré, y entraré en la batalla; y tú ponte tus vestidos. Y el rey de Israel se disfrazó, y entró en la batalla. | 30 Und der König von Israel sprach zu Joschafat: Ich will mich verkleiden und in den Kampf ziehen, du aber behalte deine königlichen Kleider an. But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.
| 31 Mas el rey de Siria había mandado a sus treinta y dos capitanes de los carros, diciendo: No peleéis ni con grande ni con chico, sino sólo contra el rey de Israel. | 31 Aber der König von Aram gebot den Obersten über seine Wagen - es waren zweiunddreißig - und sprach: Ihr sollt nicht kämpfen gegen Geringe und Hohe, sondern allein gegen den König von Israel. |

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.
| 32 Cuando los capitanes de los carros vieron a Josafat, dijeron: Ciertamente éste es el rey de Israel; y vinieron contra él para pelear con él; mas el rey Josafat gritó. | 32 Und als die Obersten der Wagen Joschafat sahen, meinten sie, er wäre der König von Israel, und wandten sich gegen ihn zum Kampf, aber Joschafat schrie. |

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.
| 33 Viendo entonces los capitanes de los carros que no era el rey de Israel, se apartaron de él. | 33 Als aber die Obersten der Wagen merkten, daß er nicht der König von Israel war, wandten sie sich von ihm ab. |

And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
| 34 Y un hombre disparó su arco a la ventura e hirió al rey de Israel por entre las junturas de la armadura, por lo que dijo él a su cochero: Da la vuelta, y sácame del campo, pues estoy herido. | 34 Ein Mann aber spannte den Bogen in aller Einfalt und schoß den König von Israel zwischen Panzer und Wehrgehänge. And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.
| 35 Pero la batalla había arreciado aquel día, y el rey estuvo en su carro delante de los sirios, y a la tarde murió; y la sangre de la herida corría por el fondo del carro. | 35 Aber der Kampf nahm immer mehr zu an demselben Tage, und der König blieb im Wagen stehen gegenüber den Aramäern bis zum Abend, und das Blut floß von der Wunde mitten in den Wagen. Und er starb am Abend. |

And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.

So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.
| 37 Murió, pues, el rey, y fue traído a Samaria; y sepultaron al rey en Samaria. | 37 denn der König ist tot! Und sie gingen nach Samaria und begruben den König in Samaria. |

And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.
| 38 Y lavaron el carro en el estanque de Samaria; y los perros lamieron su sangre (y también las rameras se lavaban allí), conforme a la palabra que Jehová había hablado. | 38 Und als sie den Wagen wuschen bei dem Teich Samarias, leckten die Hunde sein Blut - und die Huren wuschen sich darin - nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte. |

Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
| 39 El resto de los hechos de Acab, y todo lo que hizo, y la casa de marfil que construyó, y todas las ciudades que edificó, żno está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel? | 39 Was mehr von Ahab zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, und das Elfenbeinhaus, das er baute, und alle Städte, die er ausgebaut hat, siehe, das steht geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige von Israel. |

So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.

Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
| 43 Y anduvo en todo el camino de Asa su padre, sin desviarse de él, haciendo lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová. Con todo eso, los lugares altos no fueron quitados; porque el pueblo sacrificaba aún, y quemaba incienso en ellos. | 43 Und er wandelte in allen Wegen seines Vaters Asa und wich nicht davon ab und tat, was dem HERRN wohlgefiel. |

And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.
| 44 Y Josafat hizo paz con el rey de Israel. | 44 Doch entfernte er nicht die Höhen, und das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen. |

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he shewed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.

There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king.

Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Ezion-geber.

Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.

And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
