And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
| 1 Entonces Elías tisbita, que era de los moradores de Galaad, dijo a Acab: Vive Jehová Dios de Israel, en cuya presencia estoy, que no habrá lluvia ni rocío en estos años, sino por mi palabra. | 1 Und es sprach Elia, der Tischbiter, aus Tischbe in Gilead zu Ahab: So wahr der HERR, der Gott Israels, lebt, vor dem ich stehe: es soll diese Jahre weder Tau noch Regen kommen, ich sage es denn. |

And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
| 2 Y vino a él palabra de Jehová, | 2 Da kam das Wort des HERRN zu ihm: |

Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
| 3 Apártate de aquí, y vuélvete al oriente, y escóndete en el arroyo de Querit, que está frente al Jordán. | 3 Geh weg von hier und wende dich nach Osten und verbirg dich am Bach Krit, der zum Jordan fließt. |

And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
| 4 Beberás del arroyo; y yo he mandado a los cuervos que te den allí de comer. | 4 Und du sollst aus dem Bach trinken, und ich habe den Raben geboten, daß sie dich dort versorgen sollen. |

So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
| 5 Y él fue e hizo conforme a la palabra de Jehová; pues se fue y vivió junto al arroyo de Querit, que está frente al Jordán. | 5 Er aber ging hin und tat nach dem Wort des HERRN und setzte sich nieder am Bach Krit, der zum Jordan fließt. |

And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
| 6 Y los cuervos le traían pan y carne por la mañana, y pan y carne por la tarde; y bebía del arroyo. | 6 Und die Raben brachten ihm Brot und Fleisch des Morgens und des Abends, und er trank aus dem Bach. |

And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
| 7 Pasados algunos días, se secó el arroyo, porque no había llovido sobre la tierra. | 7 Und es geschah nach einiger Zeit, daß der Bach vertrocknete; denn es war kein Regen im Lande. |

And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
| 8 Vino luego a él palabra de Jehová, | 8 Da kam das Wort des HERRN zu ihm: |

Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
| 9 Levántate, vete a Sarepta de Sidón, y mora allí; he aquí yo he dado orden allí a una mujer viuda que te sustente. | 9 Mach dich auf und geh nach Zarpat, das bei Sidon liegt, und bleibe dort; denn ich habe dort einer Witwe geboten, dich zu versorgen. |

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
| 10 Entonces él se levantó y se fue a Sarepta. Y cuando llegó a la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí una mujer viuda que estaba allí recogiendo leña; y él la llamó, y le dijo: Te ruego que me traigas un poco de agua en un vaso, para que beba. | 10 Und er machte sich auf und ging nach Zarpat. Und als er an das Tor der Stadt kam, siehe, da war eine Witwe, die las Holz auf. Und er rief ihr zu und sprach: Hole mir ein wenig Wasser im Gefäß, daß ich trinke! |

And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
| 11 Y yendo ella para traérsela, él la volvió a llamar, y le dijo: Te ruego que me traigas también un bocado de pan en tu mano. | 11 Und als sie hinging zu holen, rief er ihr nach und sprach: Bringe mir auch einen Bissen Brot mit! |

And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
| 12 Y ella respondió: Vive Jehová tu Dios, que no tengo pan cocido; solamente un puñado de harina tengo en la tinaja, y un poco de aceite en una vasija; y ahora recogía dos leños, para entrar y prepararlo para mí y para mi hijo, para que lo comamos, y nos dejemos morir. | 12 Sie sprach: So wahr der HERR, dein Gott, lebt: ich habe nichts Gebackenes, nur eine Handvoll Mehl im Topf und ein wenig Öl im Krug. Und siehe, ich hab ein Scheit Holz oder zwei aufgelesen und gehe heim und will mir und meinem Sohn zurichten, daß wir essen - und sterben. |

And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
| 13 Elías le dijo: No tengas temor; ve, haz como has dicho; pero hazme a mí primero de ello una pequeña torta cocida debajo de la ceniza, y tráemela; y después harás para ti y para tu hijo. | 13 Elia sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht! Geh hin und mach's, wie du gesagt hast. Doch mache zuerst mir etwas Gebackenes davon und bringe mir's heraus; dir aber und deinem Sohn sollst du danach auch etwas backen. |

For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
| 14 Porque Jehová Dios de Israel ha dicho así: La harina de la tinaja no escaseará, ni el aceite de la vasija disminuirá, hasta el día en que Jehová haga llover sobre la faz de la tierra. | 14 Denn so spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Das Mehl im Topf soll nicht verzehrt werden, und dem Ölkrug soll nichts mangeln bis auf den Tag, an dem der HERR regnen lassen wird auf Erden. |

And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
| 15 Entonces ella fue e hizo como le dijo Elías; y comió él, y ella, y su casa, muchos días. | 15 Sie ging hin und tat, wie Elia gesagt hatte. Und er aß und sie auch und ihr Sohn Tag um Tag. |

And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
| 16 Y la harina de la tinaja no escaseó, ni el aceite de la vasija menguó, conforme a la palabra que Jehová había dicho por Elías. | 16 Das Mehl im Topf wurde nicht verzehrt, und dem Ölkrug mangelte nichts nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er durch Elia geredet hatte. |

And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
| 17 Después de estas cosas aconteció que cayó enfermo el hijo del ama de la casa; y la enfermedad fue tan grave que no quedó en él aliento. | 17 Und nach diesen Geschichten wurde der Sohn seiner Hauswirtin krank, und seine Krankheit wurde so schwer, daß kein Odem mehr in ihm blieb. |

And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
| 18 Y ella dijo a Elías: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, varón de Dios? ¿Has venido a mí para traer a memoria mis iniquidades, y para hacer morir a mi hijo? | 18 Und sie sprach zu Elia: Was hab ich mit dir zu schaffen, du Mann Gottes? Du bist zu mir gekommen, daß meiner Sünde gedacht und mein Sohn getötet würde. |

And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.
| 19 El le dijo: Dame acá tu hijo. Entonces él lo tomó de su regazo, y lo llevó al aposento donde él estaba, y lo puso sobre su cama. | 19 Er sprach zu ihr: Gib mir deinen Sohn! Und er nahm ihn von ihrem Schoß und ging hinauf ins Obergemach, wo er wohnte, und legte ihn auf sein Bett |

And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?
| 20 Y clamando a Jehová, dijo: Jehová Dios mío, ¿aun a la viuda en cuya casa estoy hospedado has afligido, haciéndole morir su hijo? | 20 und rief den HERRN an und sprach: HERR, mein Gott, tust du sogar der Witwe, bei der ich ein Gast bin, so Böses an, daß du ihren Sohn tötest? |

And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
| 21 Y se tendió sobre el niño tres veces, y clamó a Jehová y dijo: Jehová Dios mío, te ruego que hagas volver el alma de este niño a él. | 21 Und er legte sich auf das Kind dreimal und rief den HERRN an und sprach: HERR, mein Gott, laß sein Leben in dies Kind zurückkehren!a |

And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
| 22 Y Jehová oyó la voz de Elías, y el alma del niño volvió a él, y revivió. | 22 Und der HERR erhörte die Stimme Elias, und das Leben kehrte in das Kind zurück, und es wurde wieder lebendig. |

And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.
| 23 Tomando luego Elías al niño, lo trajo del aposento a la casa, y lo dio a su madre, y le dijo Elías: Mira, tu hijo vive. | 23 Und Elia nahm das Kind und brachte es hinab vom Obergemach ins Haus und gab es seiner Mutter und sprach: Sieh da, dein Sohn lebt! |

And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth. | 24 Entonces la mujer dijo a Elías: Ahora conozco que tú eres varón de Dios, y que la palabra de Jehová es verdad en tu boca. | 24 Und die Frau sprach zu Elia: Nun erkenne ich, daß du ein Mann Gottes bist, und des HERRN Wort in deinem Munde ist Wahrheit. |
