Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.

Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.

Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
| 5 por cuanto David había hecho lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová, y de ninguna cosa que le mandase se había apartado en todos los días de su vida, salvo en lo tocante a Urías heteo. | 5 weil David getan hatte, was dem HERRN wohlgefiel, und nicht gewichen war von allem, was er ihm gebot, sein Leben lang, außer in der Sache mit Uria, dem Hetiter. |

And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.

And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.

And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
| 12 Porque quitó del país a los sodomitas, y quitó todos los ídolos que sus padres habían hecho. | 12 Er tat die Tempelhurer aus dem Lande und entfernte alle Götzenbilder, die seine Väter gemacht hatten. |

And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
| 13 También privó a su madre Maaca de ser reina madre, porque había hecho un ídolo de Asera. But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.

And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.
| 15 También metió en la casa de Jehová lo que su padre había dedicado, y lo que él dedicó: oro, plata y alhajas. | 15 Und das Silber und Gold und die Geräte, die sein Vater geheiligt hatte, und was von ihm selbst geheiligt war, brachte er zum Hause des HERRN. |

And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
| 17 Y subió Baasa rey de Israel contra Judá, y edificó a Ramá, para no dejar a ninguno salir ni entrar a Asa rey de Judá. | 17 Bascha aber, der König von Israel, zog herauf gegen Juda und baute Rama aus, damit niemand aus- und einziehen sollte bei Asa, dem König von Juda. |

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
| 18 Entonces tomando Asa toda la plata y el oro que había quedado en los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa real, los entregó a sus siervos, y los envió el rey Asa a Ben-adad hijo de Tabrimón, hijo de Hezión, rey de Siria, el cual residía en Damasco, | 18 Da nahm Asa alles Silber und Gold, das noch übrig war im Schatz des Hauses des HERRN und im Schatz des Hauses des Königs, und gab's in die Hände seiner Räte und sandte sie zu Ben-Hadad, dem Sohn Tabrimmons, des Sohnes Hesjons, dem König von Aram, der zu Damaskus herrschte, und ließ ihm sagen: |

There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
| 19 Haya alianza entre nosotros, como entre mi padre y el tuyo. He aquí yo te envío un presente de plata y de oro; ve, y rompe tu pacto con Baasa rey de Israel, para que se aparte de mí. | 19 Es ist ein Bund zwischen mir und dir und zwischen meinem Vater und deinem Vater; darum schicke ich dir ein Geschenk, Silber und Gold, daß du den Bund mit Bascha, dem König von Israel, aufgibst, damit er von mir abzieht. |

So Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-maachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
| 20 Y Ben-adad consintió con el rey Asa, y envió los príncipes de los ejércitos que tenía contra las ciudades de Israel, y conquistó Ijón, Dan, Abel-bet-maaca, y toda Cineret, con toda la tierra de Neftalí. | 20 Ben-Hadad hörte auf die Bitte des Königs Asa und sandte seine Obersten gegen die Städte Israels und schlug Ijon und Dan und Abel-Bet-Maacha, das ganze Kinneret samt dem ganzen Lande Naftali. |

And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.
| 21 Oyendo esto Baasa, dejó de edificar a Ramá, y se quedó en Tirsa. | 21 Als das Bascha hörte, ließ er davon ab, Rama auszubauen, und zog wieder nach Tirza. |

Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
| 22 Entonces el rey Asa convocó a todo Judá, sin exceptuar a ninguno; y quitaron de Ramá la piedra y la madera con que Baasa edificaba, y edificó el rey Asa con ello a Geba de Benjamín, y a Mizpa. | 22 Der König Asa aber bot ganz Juda auf, niemand ausgenommen, und sie nahmen die Steine und das Holz von Rama weg, womit Bascha gebaut hatte; und der König Asa baute damit Geba in Benjamin und Mizpa aus. |

The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
| 23 Los demás hechos de Asa, y todo su poderío, y todo lo que hizo, y las ciudades que edificó, żno está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá? And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.

And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
| 26 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, andando en el camino de su padre, y en los pecados con que hizo pecar a Israel. | 26 und tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel, und wandelte in dem Wege seines Vaters und in seiner Sünde, womit dieser Israel sündigen gemacht hatte. |

And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
| 27 Y Baasa hijo de Ahías, el cual era de la casa de Isacar, conspiró contra él, y lo hirió Baasa en Gibetón, que era de los filisteos; porque Nadab y todo Israel tenían sitiado a Gibetón. | 27 Aber Bascha, der Sohn Ahijas, aus dem Stamme Issachar, machte eine Verschwörung gegen ihn und erschlug ihn zu Gibbeton, das den Philistern gehörte. Denn Nadab und ganz Israel belagerten Gibbeton. |

Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.

And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
| 29 Y cuando él vino al reino, mató a toda la casa de Jeroboam, sin dejar alma viviente de los de Jeroboam, hasta raerla, conforme a la palabra que Jehová habló por su siervo Ahías silonita; | 29 Als er nun König war, erschlug er das ganze Haus Jerobeam; er ließ auch nicht einen übrig vom Hause Jerobeam, bis er es ganz vertilgt hatte nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte durch seinen Knecht Ahija von Silo, |

Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.
| 30 por los pecados que Jeroboam había cometido, y con los cuales hizo pecar a Israel; y por su provocación con que provocó a enojo a Jehová Dios de Israel. | 30 um der Sünden Jerobeams willen, die er tat und womit er Israel sündigen machte und den HERRN, den Gott Israels, zum Zorn reizte. |
