At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.

And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I should be king over this people.
| 2 Y dijo Jeroboam a su mujer: Levántate ahora y disfrázate, para que no te conozcan que eres la mujer de Jeroboam, y ve a Silo; porque allá está el profeta Ahías, el que me dijo que yo había de ser rey sobre este pueblo. | 2 Und Jerobeam sprach zu seiner Frau: Mache dich auf und verkleide dich, damit niemand merkt, daß du Jerobeams Frau bist, und geh hin nach Silo. Siehe, dort ist der Prophet Ahija, der mir zugesagt hat, daß ich König sein sollte über dies Volk. |

And take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and go to him: he shall tell thee what shall become of the child.
| 3 Y toma en tu mano diez panes, y tortas, y una vasija de miel, y ve a él, para que te declare lo que ha de ser de este nińo. | 3 Und nimm mit dir zehn Brote, Kuchen und einen Krug mit Honig und geh zu ihm, damit er dir sagt, wie es dem Knaben ergehen wird. |

And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
| 4 Y la mujer de Jeroboam lo hizo así; y se levantó y fue a Silo, y vino a casa de Ahías. Y ya no podía ver Ahías, porque sus ojos se habían oscurecido a causa de su vejez. | 4 Und Jerobeams Frau tat das und machte sich auf und ging hin nach Silo und kam ins Haus Ahijas. Ahija aber konnte nicht sehen, denn seine Augen standen starr vor Alter. |

And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.
| 5 Mas Jehová había dicho a Ahías: He aquí que la mujer de Jeroboam vendrá a consultarte por su hijo, que está enfermo; así y así le responderás, pues cuando ella viniere, vendrá disfrazada. | 5 Aber der HERR sprach zu Ahija: Siehe, Jerobeams Frau kommt, um dich wegen ihres Sohnes zu befragen; denn er ist krank. So rede nun mit ihr so und so. Als sie nun hineinkam, stellte sie sich fremd. |

And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
| 6 Cuando Ahías oyó el sonido de sus pies, al entrar ella por la puerta, dijo: Entra, mujer de Jeroboam. żPor qué te finges otra? He aquí yo soy enviado a ti con revelación dura. | 6 Als aber Ahija das Geräusch ihrer Tritte hörte, wie sie zur Tür hereinkam, sprach er: Komm herein, du Frau Jerobeams! Warum stellst du dich so fremd? Ich bin zu dir gesandt als ein harter Bote. |

Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,
| 7 Ve y di a Jeroboam: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Por cuanto yo te levanté de en medio del pueblo, y te hice príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel, | 7 Geh hin und sage Jerobeam: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe dich erhoben aus dem Volk und zum Fürsten über mein Volk Israel gesetzt |

And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;
| 8 y rompí el reino de la casa de David y te lo entregué a ti; y tú no has sido como David mi siervo, que guardó mis mandamientos y anduvo en pos de mí con todo su corazón, haciendo solamente lo recto delante de mis ojos, | 8 und habe das Königtum von Davids Hause gerissen und dir gegeben. Du aber bist nicht gewesen wie mein Knecht David, der meine Gebote hielt und mir von ganzem Herzen nachwandelte, daß er nur tat, was mir wohlgefiel. |

But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:
| 9 sino que hiciste lo malo sobre todos los que han sido antes de ti, pues fuiste y te hiciste dioses ajenos e imágenes de fundición para enojarme, y a mí me echaste tras tus espaldas; | 9 Du hast mehr Böses getan als alle, die vor dir gewesen sind, bist hingegangen und hast dir andre Götter gemacht und gegossene Bilder, um mich zum Zorn zu reizen, und hast mir den Rücken gekehrt. |

Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.
| 10 por tanto, he aquí que yo traigo mal sobre la casa de Jeroboam, y destruiré de Jeroboam todo varón, así el siervo como el libre en Israel; y barreré la posteridad de la casa de Jeroboam como se barre el estiércol, hasta que sea acabada. | 10 Darum siehe, ich will Unheil über das Haus Jerobeam bringen und ausrotten von Jerobeam alles, was männlich ist, bis auf den letzten Mann in Israel und will die Nachkommen des Hauses Jerobeam ausfegen, wie man Unrat ausfegt, bis es ganz mit ihm aus ist. |

Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it.
| 11 El que muera de los de Jeroboam en la ciudad, lo comerán los perros, y el que muera en el campo, lo comerán las aves del cielo; porque Jehová lo ha dicho. | 11 Wer von Jerobeam stirbt in der Stadt, den sollen die Hunde fressen; wer aber auf dem Felde stirbt, den sollen die Vögel des Himmels fressen; denn der HERR hat's geredet. |

Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
| 12 Y tú levántate y vete a tu casa; y al poner tu pie en la ciudad, morirá el nińo. | 12 So mache dich nun auf und geh heim; und wenn dein Fuß die Stadt betritt, wird das Kind sterben. |

And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.
| 13 Y todo Israel lo endechará, y le enterrarán; porque de los de Jeroboam, sólo él será sepultado, por cuanto se ha hallado en él alguna cosa buena delante de Jehová Dios de Israel, en la casa de Jeroboam. | 13 Und es wird ihm ganz Israel die Totenklage halten, und sie werden ihn begraben; denn dieser allein von Jerobeam wird zu Grabe kommen, weil der HERR, der Gott Israels, etwas Gutes an ihm gefunden hat im Hause Jerobeam. |

Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
| 14 Y Jehová levantará para sí un rey sobre Israel, el cual destruirá la casa de Jeroboam en este día; y lo hará ahora mismo. | 14 Der HERR aber wird sich einen König über Israel erwecken, der wird das Haus Jerobeam ausrotten - wie es heute ist. |

For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
| 15 Jehová sacudirá a Israel al modo que la cańa se agita en las aguas; y él arrancará a Israel de esta buena tierra que había dado a sus padres, y los esparcirá más allá del Eufrates, por cuanto han hecho sus imágenes de Asera, enojando a Jehová. | 15 Und der HERR wird Israel schlagen, daß es schwankt, wie das Rohr im Wasser bewegt wird, und wird Israel ausreißen aus diesem guten Lande, das er ihren Vätern gegeben hat, und wird sie zerstreuen jenseits des Euphrat, weil sie sich Ascherabilder gemacht haben, den HERRN zu erzürnen. |

And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.
| 16 Y él entregará a Israel por los pecados de Jeroboam, el cual pecó, y ha hecho pecar a Israel. | 16 Und er wird Israel dahingeben um der Sünden Jerobeams willen, der da gesündigt hat und Israel sündigen gemacht hat. |

And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: and when she came to the threshold of the door, the child died;
| 17 Entonces la mujer de Jeroboam se levantó y se marchó, y vino a Tirsa; y entrando ella por el umbral de la casa, el nińo murió. | 17 Und Jerobeams Frau machte sich auf, ging heim und kam nach Tirza. Und als sie auf die Schwelle des Hauses kam, starb der Knabe. |

And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.
| 18 Y lo enterraron, y lo endechó todo Israel, conforme a la palabra de Jehová, la cual él había hablado por su siervo el profeta Ahías. | 18 Und sie begruben ihn, und ganz Israel hielt ihm die Totenklage nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte durch seinen Knecht Ahija, den Propheten. |

And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
| 19 Los demás hechos de Jeroboam, las guerras que hizo, y cómo reinó, todo está escrito en el libro de las historias de los reyes de Israel. | 19 Was mehr von Jerobeam zu sagen ist, wie er Krieg geführt und regiert hat, siehe, das steht geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige von Israel. |

And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.
| 20 El tiempo que reinó Jeroboam fue de veintidós ańos; y habiendo dormido con sus padres, reinó en su lugar Nadab su hijo. | 20 Die Zeit aber, die Jerobeam regierte, sind zweiundzwanzig Jahre. Und er legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und sein Sohn Nadab wurde König an seiner Statt. |

And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD did choose out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
| 21 Roboam hijo de Salomón reinó en Judá. De cuarenta y un ańos era Roboam cuando comenzó a reinar, y diecisiete ańos reinó en Jerusalén, ciudad que Jehová eligió de todas las tribus de Israel, para poner allí su nombre. El nombre de su madre fue Naama, amonita. | 21 Und Rehabeam, der Sohn Salomos, wurde König in Juda. Einundvierzig Jahre alt war Rehabeam, als er König wurde; und er regierte siebzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem, in der Stadt, die der HERR erwählt hatte aus allen Stämmen Israels, damit er dort seinem Namen eine Stätte bereite. Seine Mutter hieß Naama, eine Ammoniterin. |

And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done.
| 22 Y Judá hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, y le enojaron más que todo lo que sus padres habían hecho en sus pecados que cometieron. | 22 Und Juda tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel; und sie reizten ihn mehr, als alles ihn reizte, was ihre Väter getan hatten mit ihren Sünden, die sie taten. |

For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree.
| 23 Porque ellos también se edificaron lugares altos, estatuas, e imágenes de Asera, en todo collado alto y debajo de todo árbol frondoso. | 23 Denn auch sie machten sich Höhen, Steinmale und Ascherabilder auf allen hohen Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen. |

And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
| 24 Hubo también sodomitas en la tierra, e hicieron conforme a todas las abominaciones de las naciones que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel. | 24 Es waren auch Tempelhurer im Lande; und sie taten alle die Greuel der Heiden, die der HERR vor Israel vertrieben hatte. |

And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem:

And he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
| 26 y tomó los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa real, y lo saqueó todo; también se llevó todos los escudos de oro que Salomón había hecho. | 26 und nahm die Schätze aus dem Hause des HERRN und aus dem Hause des Königs, alles, was zu nehmen war, und nahm alle goldenen Schilde, die Salomo hatte machen lassen. |

And king Rehoboam made in their stead brasen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king's house.
| 27 Y en lugar de ellos hizo el rey Roboam escudos de bronce, y los dio a los capitanes de los de la guardia, quienes custodiaban la puerta de la casa real. | 27 An ihrer Statt ließ der König Rehabeam kupferne Schilde machen und gab sie in die Hand der Obersten der Leibwache, die das Tor hüteten am Hause des Königs. |

And it was so, when the king went into the house of the LORD, that the guard bare them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.
| 28 Cuando el rey entraba en la casa de Jehová, los de la guardia los llevaban; y los ponían en la cámara de los de la guardia. | 28 Und sooft der König in das Haus des HERRN ging, trug die Leibwache die Schilde und brachte sie wieder in die Wachstube zurück. |

Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
| 29 Los demás hechos de Roboam, y todo lo que hizo, żno está escrito en las crónicas de los reyes de Judá? | 29 Was aber mehr von Rehabeam zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das steht geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige von Juda. |

And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead. | 31 Y durmió Roboam con sus padres, y fue sepultado con sus padres en la ciudad de David. El nombre de su madre fue Naama, amonita. Y reinó en su lugar Abiam su hijo. | 31 Und Rehabeam legte sich zu seinen Vätern und wurde begraben bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids. Und seine Mutter hieß Naama, eine Ammoniterin. Und sein Sohn Abija wurde König an seiner Statt. |
