And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
| 1 He aquí que un varón de Dios por palabra de Jehová vino de Judá a Bet-el; y estando Jeroboam junto al altar para quemar incienso, | 1 Und siehe, ein Mann Gottes kam von Juda auf das Wort des HERRN hin nach Bethel, während Jerobeam noch auf dem Altar stand und opferte. |

And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.
| 2 aquél clamó contra el altar por palabra de Jehová y dijo: Altar, altar, así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que a la casa de David nacerá un hijo llamado Josías, el cual sacrificará sobre ti a los sacerdotes de los lugares altos que queman sobre ti incienso, y sobre ti quemarán huesos de hombres. | 2 Und er rief gegen den Altar auf das Wort des HERRN hin und sprach: Altar, Altar! So spricht der HERR: Siehe, es wird ein Sohn dem Hause David geboren werden, mit Namen Josia; der wird auf dir schlachten die Priester der Höhen, die auf dir opfern, und wird Menschengebein auf dir verbrennen. |

And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.
| 3 Y aquel mismo día dio una señal, diciendo: Esta es la señal de que Jehová ha hablado: he aquí que el altar se quebrará, y la ceniza que sobre él está se derramará. | 3 Und er gab an dem Tag ein Wunderzeichen und sprach: Das ist das Zeichen dafür, daß der HERR geredet hat: Siehe, der Altar wird bersten und die Asche verschüttet werden, die darauf ist. |

And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
| 4 Cuando el rey Jeroboam oyó la palabra del varón de Dios, que había clamado contra el altar de Bet-el, extendiendo su mano desde el altar, dijo: ¡Prendedle! Mas la mano que había extendido contra él, se le secó, y no la pudo enderezar. | 4 Als aber der König das Wort von dem Mann Gottes hörte, der gegen den Altar in Bethel rief, streckte er seine Hand aus auf dem Altar und sprach: Greift ihn! Und seine Hand verdorrte, die er gegen ihn ausgestreckt hatte, und er konnte sie nicht wieder an sich ziehen. |

The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.
| 5 Y el altar se rompió, y se derramó la ceniza del altar, conforme a la señal que el varón de Dios había dado por palabra de Jehová. | 5 Und der Altar barst, und die Asche wurde verschüttet vom Altar nach dem Wunderzeichen, das der Mann Gottes gegeben hatte auf das Wort des HERRN hin. |

And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.
| 6 Entonces respondiendo el rey, dijo al varón de Dios: Te pido que ruegues ante la presencia de Jehová tu Dios, y ores por mí, para que mi mano me sea restaurada. Y el varón de Dios oró a Jehová, y la mano del rey se le restauró, y quedó como era antes. | 6 Und der König hob an und sprach zu dem Mann Gottes: Flehe doch den HERRN, deinen Gott, an und bitte für mich, daß ich meine Hand wieder an mich ziehen kann. Da flehte der Mann Gottes den HERRN an, und der König konnte seine Hand wieder an sich ziehen, und sie wurde, wie sie vorher war. |

And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.
| 7 Y el rey dijo al varón de Dios: Ven conmigo a casa, y comerás, y yo te daré un presente. | 7 Und der König redete mit dem Mann Gottes: Komm mit mir heim und labe dich; ich will dir ein Geschenk geben. |

And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:
| 8 Pero el varón de Dios dijo al rey: Aunque me dieras la mitad de tu casa, no iría contigo, ni comería pan ni bebería agua en este lugar. | 8 Aber der Mann Gottes sprach zum König: Wenn du mir auch die Hälfte deiner Habe geben wolltest, so käme ich doch nicht mit dir; denn ich will an diesem Ort kein Brot essen noch Wasser trinken. |

For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
| 9 Porque así me está ordenado por palabra de Jehová, diciendo: No comas pan, ni bebas agua, ni regreses por el camino que fueres. | 9 Denn das ist mir geboten durch des HERRN Wort: Du sollst kein Brot essen und kein Wasser trinken und nicht den Weg zurückgehen, den du gekommen bist. |

So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
| 10 Regresó, pues, por otro camino, y no volvió por el camino por donde había venido a Bet-el. | 10 Und er ging einen andern Weg und nicht wieder den Weg, den er nach Bethel gekommen war. |

Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
| 11 Moraba entonces en Bet-el un viejo profeta, al cual vino su hijo y le contó todo lo que el varón de Dios había hecho aquel día en Bet-el; le contaron también a su padre las palabras que había hablado al rey. | 11 Es wohnte aber ein alter Prophet in Bethel; zu dem kamen seine Söhne und erzählten ihm alles, was der Mann Gottes getan hatte an diesem Tag in Bethel, und die Worte, die er zum König geredet hatte. |

And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
| 12 Y su padre les dijo: ¿Por qué camino se fue? Y sus hijos le mostraron el camino por donde había regresado el varón de Dios que había venido de Judá. | 12 Und ihr Vater sprach zu ihnen: Wo ist der Weg, den er gezogen ist? Und seine Söhne zeigten ihm den Weg, den der Mann Gottes gezogen war, der von Juda gekommen war. |

And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,
| 13 Y él dijo a sus hijos: Ensilladme el asno. Y ellos le ensillaron el asno, y él lo montó. | 13 Er aber sprach zu seinen Söhnen: Sattelt mir den Esel! Und als sie ihm den Esel gesattelt hatten, ritt er auf ihm |

And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
| 14 Y yendo tras el varón de Dios, le halló sentado debajo de una encina, y le dijo: ¿Eres tú el varón de Dios que vino de Judá? El dijo: Yo soy. | 14 und zog dem Mann Gottes nach und fand ihn unter einer Eiche sitzen und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der Mann Gottes, der von Juda gekommen ist? Er sprach: Ja. |

Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
| 15 Entonces le dijo: Ven conmigo a casa, y come pan. | 15 Er sprach zu ihm: Komm mit mir heim und iß Brot mit mir! |

And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
| 16 Mas él respondió: No podré volver contigo, ni iré contigo, ni tampoco comeré pan ni beberé agua contigo en este lugar. | 16 Er aber sprach: Ich kann nicht mit dir umkehren und mit dir kommen; ich will auch nicht Brot essen noch Wasser trinken mit dir an diesem Ort. |

For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.
| 17 Porque por palabra de Dios me ha sido dicho: No comas pan ni bebas agua allí, ni regreses por el camino por donde fueres. | 17 Denn es ist zu mir geredet worden durch das Wort des HERRN: Du sollst dort weder Brot essen noch Wasser trinken; du sollst nicht den Weg zurückgehen, den du gekommen bist. |

He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
| 18 Y el otro le dijo, mintiéndole: Yo también soy profeta como tú, y un ángel me ha hablado por palabra de Jehová, diciendo: Tráele contigo a tu casa, para que coma pan y beba agua. | 18 Er sprach zu ihm: Ich bin auch ein Prophet wie du, und ein Engel hat zu mir geredet auf das Wort des HERRN hin: Führe ihn wieder mit dir heim, daß er Brot esse und Wasser trinke. Er belog ihn aber. |

So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
| 19 Entonces volvió con él, y comió pan en su casa, y bebió agua. | 19 Und er führte ihn wieder zurück, daß er Brot aß und Wasser trank in seinem Hause. |

And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:
| 20 Y aconteció que estando ellos en la mesa, vino palabra de Jehová al profeta que le había hecho volver. | 20 Und als sie zu Tisch saßen, kam das Wort des HERRN zum Propheten, der ihn zurückgeführt hatte. |

And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,
| 21 Y clamó al varón de Dios que había venido de Judá, diciendo: Así dijo Jehová: Por cuanto has sido rebelde al mandato de Jehová, y no guardaste el mandamiento que Jehová tu Dios te había prescrito, | 21 Und er rief dem Mann Gottes zu, der von Juda gekommen war: So spricht der HERR: Weil du dem Mund des HERRN ungehorsam gewesen bist und nicht gehalten hast das Gebot, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geboten hat, |

But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
| 22 sino que volviste, y comiste pan y bebiste agua en el lugar donde Jehová te había dicho que no comieses pan ni bebieses agua, no entrará tu cuerpo en el sepulcro de tus padres. | 22 und umgekehrt bist, Brot gegessen hast und Wasser getrunken an dem Ort, von dem er dir sagte: Du sollst weder Brot essen noch Wasser trinken -, so soll dein Leichnam nicht in deiner Väter Grab kommen. |

And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.
| 23 Cuando había comido pan y bebido, el que le había hecho volver le ensilló el asno. | 23 Und nachdem er gegessen und getrunken hatte, sattelte man für ihn den Esel des Propheten, der ihn zurückgeführt hatte. |

And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
| 24 Y yéndose, le topó un león en el camino, y le mató; y su cuerpo estaba echado en el camino, y el asno junto a él, y el león también junto al cuerpo. | 24 Und als er seines Weges zog, fand ihn ein Löwe auf dem Wege und tötete ihn. Und sein Leichnam blieb auf dem Wege liegen, und der Esel stand neben ihm, und der Löwe stand neben dem Leichnam. |

And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.
| 25 Y he aquí unos que pasaban, y vieron el cuerpo que estaba echado en el camino, y el león que estaba junto al cuerpo; y vinieron y lo dijeron en la ciudad donde el viejo profeta habitaba. | 25 Und als Leute vorübergingen, sahen sie den Leichnam auf dem Wege liegen und den Löwen bei dem Leichnam stehen und kamen und sagten es in der Stadt, in der der alte Prophet wohnte. |

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.
| 26 Oyéndolo el profeta que le había hecho volver del camino, dijo: El varón de Dios es, que fue rebelde al mandato de Jehová; por tanto, Jehová le ha entregado al león, que le ha quebrantado y matado, conforme a la palabra de Jehová que él le dijo. | 26 Als das der Prophet hörte, der ihn zurückgeführt hatte, sprach er: Es ist der Mann Gottes, der dem Mund des HERRN ungehorsam gewesen ist. Darum hat ihn der HERR dem Löwen gegeben; der hat ihn zerrissen und getötet nach dem Wort, das ihm der HERR gesagt hat. |

And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him.
| 27 Y habló a sus hijos, y les dijo: Ensilladme un asno. Y ellos se lo ensillaron. | 27 Und er sprach zu seinen Söhnen: Sattelt mir den Esel! Und als sie ihn gesattelt hatten, |

And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass.
| 28 Y él fue, y halló el cuerpo tendido en el camino, y el asno y el león que estaban junto al cuerpo; el león no había comido el cuerpo, ni dañado al asno. | 28 zog er hin und fand den Leichnam auf dem Wege liegen und den Esel und den Löwen neben dem Leichnam stehen. Der Löwe hatte nichts gefressen vom Leichnam und den Esel nicht zerrissen. |

And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.
| 29 Entonces tomó el profeta el cuerpo del varón de Dios, y lo puso sobre el asno y se lo llevó. Y el profeta viejo vino a la ciudad, para endecharle y enterrarle. | 29 Da hob der Prophet den Leichnam des Mannes Gottes auf und legte ihn auf den Esel und brachte ihn zurück und kam in seine Stadt, um die Totenklage zu halten und ihn zu begraben. |

And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!
| 30 Y puso el cuerpo en su sepulcro; y le endecharon, diciendo: ¡Ay, hermano mío! | 30 Und er legte den Leichnam in sein eigenes Grab, und sie hielten ihm die Totenklage: Ach, Bruder! |

And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:
| 31 Y después que le hubieron enterrado, habló a sus hijos, diciendo: Cuando yo muera, enterradme en el sepulcro en que está sepultado el varón de Dios; poned mis huesos junto a los suyos. | 31 Und als sie ihn begraben hatten, sprach er zu seinen Söhnen: Wenn ich sterbe, so begrabt mich in dem Grabe, in dem der Mann Gottes begraben ist, und legt mein Gebein neben sein Gebein. |

For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.
| 32 Porque sin duda vendrá lo que él dijo a voces por palabra de Jehová contra el altar que está en Bet-el, y contra todas las cosas de los lugares altos que están en las ciudades de Samaria. | 32 Denn es wird sich erfüllen, was er gerufen hat gegen den Altar in Bethel auf das Wort des HERRN hin und gegen alle Heiligtümer auf den Höhen, die in den Städten Samariens sind. |

After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.
| 33 Con todo esto, no se apartó Jeroboam de su mal camino, sino que volvió a hacer sacerdotes de los lugares altos de entre el pueblo, y a quien quería lo consagraba para que fuese de los sacerdotes de los lugares altos. | 33 Aber nach diesem Geschehnis kehrte Jerobeam nicht um von seinem bösen Wege, sondern bestellte wieder Priester für die Höhen aus allem Volk. Wer da wollte, dessen Hand füllte er, und der wurde Priester für die Höhen. |

And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth. | 34 Y esto fue causa de pecado a la casa de Jeroboam, por lo cual fue cortada y raída de sobre la faz de la tierra. | 34 Und dies geriet zur Sünde dem Hause Jerobeams, so daß es zugrunde gerichtet und von der Erde vertilgt wurde. |
