But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;

Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
| 2 gentes de las cuales Jehová había dicho a los hijos de Israel: No os llegaréis a ellas, ni ellas se llegarán a vosotros; porque ciertamente harán inclinar vuestros corazones tras sus dioses. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
| 5 Porque Salomón siguió a Astoret, diosa de los sidonios, y a Milcom, ídolo abominable de los amonitas. | 5 So diente Salomo der Astarte, der Göttin derer von Sidon, und dem Milkom, dem greulichen Götzen der Ammoniter. |

And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
| 9 Y se enojó Jehová contra Salomón, por cuanto su corazón se había apartado de Jehová Dios de Israel, que se le había aparecido dos veces, | 9 Der HERR aber wurde zornig über Salomo, daß er sein Herz von dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, abgewandt hatte, der ihm zweimal erschienen war |

And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
| 10 y le había mandado acerca de esto, que no siguiese a dioses ajenos; mas él no guardó lo que le mandó Jehová. | 10 und ihm geboten hatte, daß er nicht andern Göttern nachwandelte. Er aber hatte nicht gehalten, was ihm der HERR geboten hatte. |

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
| 11 Y dijo Jehová a Salomón: Por cuanto ha habido esto en ti, y no has guardado mi pacto y mis estatutos que yo te mandé, romperé de ti el reino, y lo entregaré a tu siervo. | 11 Darum sprach der HERR zu Salomo: Weil das bei dir geschehen ist und du meinen Bund und meine Gebote nicht gehalten hast, die ich dir geboten habe, so will ich das Königtum von dir reißen und einem deiner Großen geben. |

Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.
| 12 Sin embargo, no lo haré en tus días, por amor a David tu padre; lo romperé de la mano de tu hijo. | 12 Doch zu deiner Zeit will ich das noch nicht tun um deines Vaters David willen, sondern aus der Hand deines Sohnes will ich's reißen. |

Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.
| 13 Pero no romperé todo el reino, sino que daré una tribu a tu hijo, por amor a David mi siervo, y por amor a Jerusalén, la cual yo he elegido. | 13 Doch will ich nicht das ganze Reich losreißen; einen Stamm will ich deinem Sohn lassen um Davids willen, meines Knechts, und um Jerusalems willen, das ich erwählt habe. |

And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king's seed in Edom.
| 14 Y Jehová suscitó un adversario a Salomón: Hadad edomita, de sangre real, el cual estaba en Edom. | 14 Und der HERR erweckte Salomo einen Widersacher, den Edomiter Hadad, vom königlichen Geschlecht in Edom. |

For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;

(For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom:)

That Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.
| 17 Hadad huyó, y con él algunos varones edomitas de los siervos de su padre, y se fue a Egipto; era entonces Hadad muchacho pequeńo. | 17 da floh Hadad und mit ihm einige Edomiter vom Gefolge seines Vaters, um nach Ägypten zu entkommen. Hadad aber war noch ein sehr junger Mann. |

And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; which gave him an house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.
| 18 Y se levantaron de Madián, y vinieron a Parán; y tomando consigo hombres de Parán, vinieron a Egipto, a Faraón rey de Egipto, el cual les dio casa y les seńaló alimentos, y aun les dio tierra. | 18 Und sie machten sich auf von Midian und kamen nach Paran und nahmen Leute mit sich aus Paran und kamen nach Ägypten zum Pharao, dem König von Ägypten. Der gab ihm ein Haus und Nahrung und wies ihm Land an. |

And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
| 19 Y halló Hadad gran favor delante de Faraón, el cual le dio por mujer la hermana de su esposa, la hermana de la reina Tahpenes. | 19 Und Hadad fand große Gnade vor dem Pharao, so daß er ihm sogar die Schwester seiner Gemahlin, der Königin Tachpenes, zur Frau gab. |

And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh's household among the sons of Pharaoh.
| 20 Y la hermana de Tahpenes le dio a luz su hijo Genubat, al cual destetó Tahpenes en casa de Faraón; y estaba Genubat en casa de Faraón entre los hijos de Faraón. | 20 Und die Schwester der Tachpenes gebar ihm Genubat, seinen Sohn, und Tachpenes zog ihn auf im Hause des Pharao, so daß Genubat im Hause des Pharao unter den Kindern des Pharao war. |

And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.
| 21 Y oyendo Hadad en Egipto que David había dormido con sus padres, y que era muerto Joab general del ejército, Hadad dijo a Faraón: Déjame ir a mi tierra. | 21 Als nun Hadad hörte in Ägypten, daß David sich zu seinen Vätern gelegt hatte und daß der Feldhauptmann Joab tot war, sprach er zum Pharao: Laß mich in mein Land ziehen! |

Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
| 22 Faraón le respondió: żPor qué? żQué te falta conmigo, que procuras irte a tu tierra? El respondió: Nada; con todo, te ruego que me dejes ir. | 22 Der Pharao sprach zu ihm: Was fehlt dir bei mir, daß du in dein Land ziehen willst? Er sprach: Nichts, aber laß mich ziehen! |

And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:
| 23 Dios también levantó por adversario contra Salomón a Rezón hijo de Eliada, el cual había huido de su amo Hadad-ezer, rey de Soba. | 23 *Und Hadad kehrte in sein Land zurück und hatte einen Haß auf Israel und wurde König über Edom. *Der Zusammenhang erfordert die hier vorgenommene Umstellung des halben Verses. |

And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.
| 24 Y había juntado gente contra él, y se había hecho capitán de una compańía, cuando David deshizo a los de Soba. Después fueron a Damasco y habitaron allí, y le hicieron rey en Damasco. | 24 Auch erweckte Gott dem Salomo noch einen Widersacher, Reson, den Sohn Eljadas, der von seinem Herrn, Hadad- Eser, dem König von Zoba, geflohen war. |

And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.

And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon's servant, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.
| 26 También Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, efrateo de Sereda, siervo de Salomón, cuya madre se llamaba Zerúa, la cual era viuda, alzó su mano contra el rey. | 26 Und er war Israels Widersacher, solange Salomo lebte. Das kam zu dem Schaden, den Hadad tat. |

And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.
| 27 La causa por la cual éste alzó su mano contra el rey fue esta: Salomón, edificando a Milo, cerró el portillo de la ciudad de David su padre. | 27 Auch Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, ein Ephraimiter von Zereda, Salomos Vogt - seine Mutter hieß Zerua, eine Witwe -, hob die Hand auf gegen den König. |

And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
| 28 Y este varón Jeroboam era valiente y esforzado; y viendo Salomón al joven que era hombre activo, le encomendó todo el cargo de la casa de José. | 28 Und so ging es zu, als er die Hand gegen den König aufhob: Salomo baute den Millo und schloß damit die Lücke in der Stadt Davids, seines Vaters. |

And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:
| 29 Aconteció, pues, en aquel tiempo, que saliendo Jeroboam de Jerusalén, le encontró en el camino el profeta Ahías silonita, y éste estaba cubierto con una capa nueva; y estaban ellos dos solos en el campo. | 29 Und Jerobeam war ein tüchtiger Mann. Und als Salomo sah, daß der Jüngling viel schaffte, setzte er ihn über alle Fronarbeit des Hauses Josef. |

And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces:
| 30 Y tomando Ahías la capa nueva que tenía sobre sí, la rompió en doce pedazos, | 30 Es begab sich aber zu der Zeit, daß Jerobeam aus Jerusalem hinausging, und es traf ihn der Prophet Ahija von Silo auf dem Wege und hatte einen neuen Mantel an, und es waren die beiden allein auf dem Felde. |

And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
| 31 y dijo a Jeroboam: Toma para ti los diez pedazos; porque así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: He aquí que yo rompo el reino de la mano de Salomón, y a ti te daré diez tribus; | 31 Und Ahija faßte den neuen Mantel, den er anhatte, und riß ihn in zwölf Stücke |

(But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
| 32 y él tendrá una tribu por amor a David mi siervo, y por amor a Jerusalén, ciudad que yo he elegido de todas las tribus de Israel; | 32 und sprach zu Jerobeam: Nimm zehn Stücke zu dir! Denn so spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will das Königtum aus der Hand Salomos reißen und dir zehn Stämme gebena - |

Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
| 33 por cuanto me han dejado, y han adorado a Astoret diosa de los sidonios, a Quemos dios de Moab, y a Moloc dios de los hijos de Amón; y no han andado en mis caminos para hacer lo recto delante de mis ojos, y mis estatutos y mis decretos, como hizo David su padre. | 33 einen Stamm soll er haben um meines Knechts David willen und um der Stadt Jerusalem willen, die ich erwählt habe aus allen Stämmen Israels -, |

Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
| 34 Pero no quitaré nada del reino de sus manos, sino que lo retendré por rey todos los días de su vida, por amor a David mi siervo, al cual yo elegí, y quien guardó mis mandamientos y mis estatutos. | 34 weil er mich verlassen hat und angebetet die Astarte, die Göttin der Sidonier, Kemosch, den Gott der Moabiter, und Milkom, den Gott der Ammoniter, und nicht in meinen Wegen gewandelt ist und nicht getan hat, was mir wohlgefällt, meine Gebote und Rechte, wie sein Vater David. |

But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.
| 35 Pero quitaré el reino de la mano de su hijo, y lo daré a ti, las diez tribus. | 35 Ich will aber aus seiner Hand das Reich noch nicht nehmen, sondern ich will ihn Fürst sein lassen sein Leben lang um meines Knechtes David willen, den ich erwählt habe und der meine Gebote und Rechte gehalten hat. |

And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
| 37 Yo, pues, te tomaré a ti, y tú reinarás en todas las cosas que deseare tu alma, y serás rey sobre Israel. | 37 und seinem Sohn einen Stamm geben, damit mein Knecht David vor mir eine Leuchte habe allezeit in der Stadt Jerusalem, die ich mir erwählt habe, um meinen Namen dort wohnen zu lassen. |

And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
| 38 Y si prestares oído a todas las cosas que te mandare, y anduvieres en mis caminos, e hicieres lo recto delante de mis ojos, guardando mis estatutos y mis mandamientos, como hizo David mi siervo, yo estaré contigo y te edificaré casa firme, como la edifiqué a David, y yo te entregaré a Israel. | 38 So will ich nun dich nehmen, daß du regierst über alles, was dein Herz begehrt, und König sein sollst über Israel. |

And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.
| 39 Y yo afligiré a la descendencia de David a causa de esto, mas no para siempre. | 39 Wirst du nun gehorchen allem, was ich dir gebieten werde, und in meinen Wegen wandeln und tun, was mir gefällt, und meine Rechte und Gebote halten, wie mein Knecht David getan hat, so will ich mit dir sein und dir ein beständiges Haus bauen, wie ich es David gebaut habe, und will dir Israel geben |

Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
| 40 Por esto Salomón procuró matar a Jeroboam, pero Jeroboam se levantó y huyó a Egipto, a Sisac rey de Egipto, y estuvo en Egipto hasta la muerte de Salomón. | 40 und will das Geschlecht Davids deswegen demütigen, doch nicht für alle Zeit. |

And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
| 41 Los demás hechos de Salomón, y todo lo que hizo, y su sabiduría, żno está escrito en el libro de los hechos de Salomón? | 41 Salomo aber trachtete danach, Jerobeam zu töten. And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.

And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead. | 43 Y durmió Salomón con sus padres, y fue sepultado en la ciudad de su padre David; y reinó en su lugar Roboam su hijo. | 43 Die Zeit aber, die Salomo König war zu Jerusalem über ganz Israel, ist vierzig Jahre. |
