Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
| 2 Después mandó David que se reuniese a los extranjeros que había en la tierra de Israel, y señaló de entre ellos canteros que labrasen piedras para edificar la casa de Dios. | 2 Und David ließ die Fremdlinge versammeln, die im Land Israel waren, und bestellte Steinmetzen, Steine zu hauen, um das Haus Gottes zu bauen. |

And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;
| 3 Asimismo preparó David mucho hierro para la clavazón de las puertas, y para las junturas; y mucho bronce sin peso, y madera de cedro sin cuenta. | 3 Und David schaffte viel Eisen herbei zu Nägeln für die Türen der Tore und zu Klammern und so viel Kupfer, daß es nicht zu wiegen war, |

Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
| 4 Porque los sidonios y tirios habían traído a David abundancia de madera de cedro. | 4 auch Zedernholz ohne Zahl; denn die von Sidon und Tyrus brachten viel Zedernholz zu David. |

And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
| 5 Y dijo David: Salomón mi hijo es muchacho y de tierna edad, y la casa que se ha de edificar a Jehová ha de ser magnífica por excelencia, para renombre y honra en todas las tierras; ahora, pues, yo le prepararé lo necesario. Y David antes de su muerte hizo preparativos en gran abundancia. | 5 Denn David dachte: Mein Sohn Salomo ist noch jung und zart; das Haus aber, das dem HERRN gebaut werden soll, soll groß sein, daß sein Name und Ruhm erhoben werde in allen Landen. Darum will ich ihm Vorrat schaffen. So schaffte David viel Vorrat vor seinem Tod. |

Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel.
| 6 Llamó entonces David a Salomón su hijo, y le mandó que edificase casa a Jehová Dios de Israel. | 6 Und er rief seinen Sohn Salomo und gebot ihm, dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, ein Haus zu bauen, |

And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:
| 7 Y dijo David a Salomón: Hijo mío, en mi corazón tuve el edificar templo al nombre de Jehová mi Dios. | 7 und sprach zu ihm: Mein Sohn, ich hatte im Sinn, dem Namen des HERRN, meines Gottes, ein Haus zu bauen, |

But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
| 8 Mas vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo: Tú has derramado mucha sangre, y has hecho grandes guerras; no edificarás casa a mi nombre, porque has derramado mucha sangre en la tierra delante de mí. | 8 aber das Wort des HERRN kam zu mir: Du hast viel Blut vergossen und große Kriege geführt; darum sollst du meinem Namen nicht ein Haus bauen, weil du vor mir so viel Blut auf die Erde vergossen hast. |

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
| 9 He aquí te nacerá un hijo, el cual será varón de paz, porque yo le daré paz de todos sus enemigos en derredor; por tanto, su nombre será Salomón, y yo daré paz y reposo sobre Israel en sus días. | 9 Siehe, der Sohn, der dir geboren werden soll, der wird ein Mann der Ruhe sein; denn ich will ihm Ruhe schaffen vor allen seinen Feinden ringsumher. Er soll Salomo heißen; denn ich will Israel Frieden und Ruhe geben, solange er lebt. |

He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
| 10 El edificará casa a mi nombre, y él me será a mí por hijo, y yo le seré por padre; y afirmaré el trono de su reino sobre Israel para siempre. | 10 Der soll meinem Namen ein Haus bauen. Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.
| 11 Ahora pues, hijo mío, Jehová esté contigo, y seas prosperado, y edifiques casa a Jehová tu Dios, como él ha dicho de ti. | 11 So wird nun, mein Sohn, der HERR mit dir sein, und es wird dir gelingen, daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Haus baust, wie er von dir gesagt hat. |

Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.
| 12 Y Jehová te dé entendimiento y prudencia, para que cuando gobiernes a Israel, guardes la ley de Jehová tu Dios. | 12 Auch wird der HERR dir geben Klugheit und Verstand und wird dich bestellen über Israel, daß du haltest das Gesetz des HERRN, deines Gottes. |

Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.
| 13 Entonces serás prosperado, si cuidares de poner por obra los estatutos y decretos que Jehová mandó a Moisés para Israel. Esfuérzate, pues, y cobra ánimo; no temas, ni desmayes. | 13 Dann aber wird es dir gelingen, wenn du die Gebote und Rechte befolgst, die der HERR dem Mose für Israel geboten hat. Sei getrost und unverzagt, fürchte dich nicht und laß dich nicht erschrecken! |

Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.
| 14 He aquí, yo con grandes esfuerzos he preparado para la casa de Jehová cien mil talentos de oro, y un millón de talentos de plata, y bronce y hierro sin medida, porque es mucho. Asimismo he preparado madera y piedra, a lo cual tú añadirás. | 14 Siehe, ich habe in meiner Mühsal herbeigeschafft für das Haus des HERRN hunderttausend Zentner Gold und tausendmal tausend Zentner Silber, dazu Kupfer und Eisen, das nicht zu wiegen ist, denn es ist zu viel; auch Holz und Steine habe ich herbeigeschafft, davon kannst du noch mehr anschaffen. |

Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
| 15 Tú tienes contigo muchos obreros, canteros, albañiles, carpinteros, y todo hombre experto en toda obra. | 15 Auch hast du viel Arbeiter, Steinmetzen und Leute, die in Stein und Holz arbeiten, und allerlei Meister für jede Arbeit |

Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.
| 16 Del oro, de la plata, del bronce y del hierro, no hay cuenta. Levántate, y manos a la obra; y Jehová esté contigo. | 16 in Gold, Silber, Kupfer und Eisen, ohne Zahl. So mache dich auf und richte es aus! Der HERR wird mit dir sein. |

David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
| 17 Asimismo mandó David a todos los principales de Israel que ayudasen a Salomón su hijo, | 17 Und David gebot allen Oberen Israels, seinem Sohn Salomo zu helfen. |

Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
| 18 ¿No está con vosotros Jehová vuestro Dios, el cual os ha dado paz por todas partes? Porque él ha entregado en mi mano a los moradores de la tierra, y la tierra ha sido sometida delante de Jehová, y delante de su pueblo. | 18 Ist nicht der HERR, euer Gott, mit euch und hat euch Ruhe gegeben ringsumher? Denn er hat die Bewohner des Landes in meine Hand gegeben, und das Land ist unterworfen dem HERRN und seinem Volk. |

Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD. | 19 Poned, pues, ahora vuestros corazones y vuestros ánimos en buscar a Jehová vuestro Dios; y levantaos, y edificad el santuario de Jehová Dios, para traer el arca del pacto de Jehová, y los utensilios consagrados a Dios, a la casa edificada al nombre de Jehová. | 19 So richtet nun euer Herz und euren Sinn darauf, den HERRN, euren Gott, zu suchen. Und macht euch auf und baut Gott, dem HERRN, ein Heiligtum, daß man die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und die heiligen Geräte Gottes in das Haus bringe, das dem Namen des HERRN gebaut werden soll. |
