And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.

And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
| 12 y les dijo: Vosotros que sois los principales padres de las familias de los levitas, santificaos, vosotros y vuestros hermanos, y pasad el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel al lugar que le he preparado; | 12 und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid die Häupter der Sippen unter den Leviten; so heiligt nun euch und eure Brüder, daß ihr die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbringt an den Ort, den ich ihr bereitet habe. |

For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
| 13 pues por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, Jehová nuestro Dios nos quebrantó, por cuanto no le buscamos según su ordenanza. | 13 Denn das erste Mal, als ihr nicht da waret, machte der HERR, unser Gott, einen Riß unter uns, weil wir ihn nicht befragt hatten, wie sich's gebührt. |

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
| 14 Así los sacerdotes y los levitas se santificaron para traer el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel. | 14 So heiligten sich die Priester und Leviten, damit sie die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbrächten. |

And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
| 15 Y los hijos de los levitas trajeron el arca de Dios puesta sobre sus hombros en las barras, como lo había mandado Moisés, conforme a la palabra de Jehová. | 15 Und die Leviten trugen die Lade Gottes auf ihren Schultern mit den Stangen, wie Mose geboten hatte nach dem Wort des HERRN. |

And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
| 16 Asimismo dijo David a los principales de los levitas, que designasen de sus hermanos a cantores con instrumentos de música, con salterios y arpas y címbalos, que resonasen y alzasen la voz con alegría. | 16 Und David befahl den Obersten der Leviten, daß sie ihre Brüder, die Sänger, bestellen sollten mit Saitenspielen, mit Psaltern, Harfen und hellen Zimbeln, daß sie laut sängen und mit Freuden. |

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.
| 18 Y con ellos a sus hermanos del segundo orden, a Zacarías, Jaaziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaía, Maasías, Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom y Jeiel, los porteros. | 18 und mit ihnen ihre Brüder der zweiten Ordnung: Secharja, Jaasïl, Schemiramot, Jehiël, Unni, Eliab, Benaja, Maaseja, Mattitja, Elifelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jeiëël, die Torhüter. |

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;

And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
| 21 Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, Jeiel y Azazías tenían arpas afinadas en la octava para dirigir. | 21 Mattitja aber, Elifelehu, Mikneja, Obed- Edom, Jeïël und Asaja mit Harfen von acht Saiten zu spielen; |

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.

And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.
| 25 David, pues, y los ancianos de Israel y los capitanes de millares, fueron a traer el arca del pacto de Jehová, de casa de Obed-edom, con alegría. | 25 So zogen David und die Ältesten Israels und die Obersten über tausend hin, um die Lade des Bundes des HERRN heraufzuholen aus dem Hause Obed-Edoms mit Freuden. |

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
| 26 Y ayudando Dios a los levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, sacrificaron siete novillos y siete carneros. | 26 Und weil Gott den Leviten half, die die Lade des Bundes des HERRN trugen, opferten sie sieben junge Stiere und sieben Widder. |

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
| 27 Y David iba vestido de lino fino, y también todos los levitas que llevaban el arca, y asimismo los cantores; y Quenanías era maestro de canto entre los cantores. Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
| 28 De esta manera llevaba todo Israel el arca del pacto de Jehová, con júbilo y sonido de bocinas y trompetas y címbalos, y al son de salterios y arpas. | 28 So brachte ganz Israel die Lade des Bundes des HERRN hinauf mit Jauchzen, Posaunen, Trompeten und hellen Zimbeln, mit Psaltern und Harfen. |

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart. | 29 Pero cuando el arca del pacto de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, mirando por una ventana, vio al rey David que saltaba y danzaba; y lo menospreció en su corazón. | 29 Als nun die Lade des Bundes des HERRN in die Stadt Davids kam, sah Michal, die Tochter Sauls, zum Fenster hinaus, und als sie den König David tanzen und spielen sah, verachtete sie ihn in ihrem Herzen. |
